Yes! Love this! Hope things are going well with you. I’m just learning FM synthesis, and I was wondering, if you use feedback on a sine wave, can you get it to sound like a saw wave?

I think Reface DX can generate its saw and square like waves by using feedback and inverted feedback respectively. But it’s not something I would do on the DX7 per se. Instead, I would use feedback to add more of an edge to the sound. i.e. buzz to a saw wave, overdrive and noise to a distorted lead. That kind of stuff. Classic 6OP generates positive feedback and only for one of its operators. Nonetheless you can get very creative with it. :p ~Hedge
