I just got done doing foster care.. and one of the kids that we adopted went vegan April 3rd of this year.. he was 11 at the time. He is adopted now and turned 12 in August.. it is November 6th today so he been vegan for 7 months. We (as in my husband, my biological son, and myself went vegan almost 3 years ago and we are; me 48, my husband 45 and biological son is 27.) It is amazing. The others have choosen not too. But I do not cook or have anything in my house that is not vegan.. it their choice what they eat out of my house. lol To each their own..ya know. Sometimes the 12 year old complains.. and I tell him.. I never told you to go vegan, I never made you go vegan so if you want it eat it( what ever it was that he wanted or felt it to be unfair he could not have it..I told him he would not allow himself.. it was not me that was not allowing him to eat it.. He said he couldn't .. so I told him to stop complaining then. lol. We talked about why he felt the way he did.. and the reason why he could not and the meaning behind it. He gets it totally, he just think it is weird how the brain works.. I said once you know right from wrong and you do wrong.. you feel some kind of not good way. So that is what guilty and remorse feels like. His awareness has surely grown in the 2 years and 3 months he was with us through foster care. The transition from foster care kid to being adopted by us is difficult at times and so is choosing to go vegan. Just got to have him answer his own questions in a reflection back to him. xo

You need to try eating beets like we do in Poland. You cook them then wait till they are cold and make a salad out of them(we usually grate them)and add bit of lemon juice, pepper, salt, sugar, and bit of chopped onion. This way you don’t taste the earthy flavor.

Maddie! Have you ever cooked plantains babanas? You should definitliy try!! My boyfriend comes from Martinique, and he often eats them together with ignams (the white flesh ownes). For the plantains, he just cooks them in a little bit of water in the pot, covered with the lide for a few minutes. It's delicious on its own, or with a little bit of salt. When he eats them together with ignams, he likes to mix an avocado and some garlic. :) Have a great day!

The lines on your video are due to the differing electricity supply in S Africa - 50Hz opposed to 60Hz in Canada - which causes the strobing effect under artificial lights. There will be a setting on your camera to compensate.
@mwc16186 жыл бұрын
Agreed with what Rich said. Also, you may find that you're under fluorescent lighting when the lines appear. A move to incandescent lighting, or to sunshine, should help.
