I am starting my weight loss journey 06/10/2024. I have gained 40 pounds in the last two years and it is time to get my life back. Started breakfast with a protein shake, 36 grams of protein and 270 calories. I am excited for what the future holds. I hope and pray all is well with you beloved. I love your videos and I was so excited to see your update girlie. I noticed that you’re using fair life elite. That protein shake actually has ALOT of sugar. And when you cook salmon you always cook it skin down first and then flip it and when you take it off the skin falls right off. How’s your water intake ?

Thanks 😊 I’m glad you’re liking the videos. Yes I use the fairlife core power elite. They only have 8 grams of sugar and I have no problem with that, I’ve been tolerating it fine. Some of the other fairlife shakes have a lot more sugar so maybe you’re referring to those. We like cooking it this way with the skin up, but I’ll definitely try that tip out. My water intake has been pretty good I have the coldest water bottle and it’s awesome it keeps your water cold for days I love it.

@@VSGShirley it’s a bit disappointing to see that you had brown sugar. Not sure why you’re not waiting the 30 mins. You didn’t go though the surgery just to revert back to old habits. Im a bit disappointed Wish you the best in your journey but as for me i have to unsubscribe.

Everyone’s journey is different and I’m NOT reverting back to old habits. Not sure how you would know what my old habits are but ok lol. Also I’m following my surgeon’s/nutritionists recommendations as to the sugar content of my food, not yours lmao. Sugar is not evil, nor will a teaspoon of brown sugar “revert” me back to old habits lol. I didn’t document my journey to please every single person. So if you have to unsubscribe then do it lol I’m a human being and I’m going to do what’s best for me and what my doctors recommend, you do the same hun✌🏽

I'm one month and 3 days out. I could totally try that lemonade and tea together. I have the lemonade, the tea I have is the raspberry snapple. I also have the half and half, it doesn't taste as good as the Arizona half and half. It's kind of crappy that some the things I used to like, I don't really like anymore. Like cheese tastes different, brocoli tastes different, and a lot of other things too. It's also hard to get in all of my fluid and protein. Can't stomach the protein shakes or even yogurt anymore. Now the pureed stuff is turning my stomach..what the heck am I supposed to do haha. Where did you get those Popsicles?

Give yourself some time. Sometimes the new tastes are because your stomach is still adjusting. I got the popsicles from sprouts

What I’m struggling with is how little I’m losing and I track every gram and ounce I put in my mouth and I can’t eat all that food. So I need to give myself a break I think. One tip for everyone watching is don’t drink when you eat. You will only eat more, 45 before and after don’t drink any liquids. I really wish we knew what the macro count was for this breakfast with all that food.

I'm three weeks post op and it hurts when i swallow like a big piece of food. Have you gone through that pain?

Yessss it suck’s so bad! Be patient and try to chew every bite for a while before you swallow. It’s like you have to train yourself lol. After a while you get used to it. Also pause between each bite

Oh no I’m sorry to hear that! I’ve started taking 40mg of omeprazole and it stopped 😊 hope that helps!

You can eat and drink at the same time?? I thought that wasnt allowed.

Hey thanks for the question. No I am not eating and drinking at the same time in this video, I said in the video it took me almost the rest of the day to drink my proffee lol I just always make my food and drink together out of habit.

Hi ! My doctor stated I should avoid caffeine after surgery - it looks like you're able to tolerate it ok?

Hi, yes it seems every surgeon is different. I say follow your surgeon’s recommendation. I was cleared to have caffeine in moderation starting 1 month post op. I am able to tolerate it fine I have had no problems but I recommend following your surgeon just in case.

The reason why we can’t have caffiene has more to do with the fact that we aren’t properly hydrated right after surgery so as long as you are well hydrated aka drinking enough water, you should be fine to have small amounts of caffiene. I don’t drink it every day
