Love, love, love your channel! I have tried so many different diet changes for my IBS - C and hormonal issues with negative results. I went raw vegan, vegan, vegetarian and was in agony. I discovered beans, peas and lentils were only making my IBS worse. My friend started the Keto lifestyle but I found it too restrictive...I love fruit, and don't eat dairy anyways...use almond milk in smoothies etc. I have been on the Paleo Diet for a week and thought that it would be really hard but I have never felt better. I have had no IBS symptoms and feel satiated and most times find I am not snacking between meals. I am losing weight...yay. Thank you for your channel...you are both an inspiration and beautiful inside and out. Keep the videos coming!

OK....That's it! I am doing this starting right-freakin-NOW! No more grain and no more dairy. I have to stop skipping breakfast too...and give up fruit juices. Instead of squeezing them I will eat them whole. Thank you for the inspiration!

+jonnoandkel Thanks so much for the kind comment and that's great that you're exploring the Paleo lifestyle :) Going Paleo was a gradual process for us that didn't happen overnight, but we learned so much about ancestral eating and lifestyle from Chris Kresser (and his podcast Revolution Health Radio), Mark Sisson (Primal Blueprint) and Abel James (his podcast is Fat Burning Man). There are also so many books...Primal Body Primal Mind, and Dr Perlmutter's books (Grain Brain, Brain Maker) are good reads that make a good case for ditching the grains. If we think of anything else we'll let you know!!

It's not though, did you see those chicken periods? Dead animal flesh? fasting? They need to go vegan. Optimal lifestyle.

+Caitlin Robin okay cause being vegan is all that healthy too. fasting allows your digestive system to relax. it burns more fat cause your insulin levels drop, supports healthy brain, prevents diabetes, support human hormone growth ( muscles ), reduces stress and inflammation as well reducing heart disease. don't come here and suggest what's good for someone. all health lifestyles have there great benefits. there is no specific diet that is a perfect fit for every one. don't think you're superior cause you eat a certain way or have different beliefs cause if your way was superior, everyone would be doing it.

+Donna Vang people just need to wake up and i am not here to force a lifestyle, this paleo diet still exploits animals. how can we change anything if we are still being cruel to the innocent? live your life though, all the best.

+Caitlin Robin um I think you said " they NEED to go vegan ." but thank you I'm aware of the animals being exploited but that doesn't mean we that eat meat support it. we have different beliefs on why we still consume meat but it's not by any means to harm animals. but I respect your opinion.

+Caitlin Robin I don't want to get involve in this argument but I would like to quickly say that there are plenty of things going on in the world as of right now that are way more important than the killing of animals and just saving animals. Humans are above animals, sure you can treat them as equal but they don't line up with us.

I love these vids - What I Eat In A Day helps me see how to use what I already know abt foods and spices and what pairs well with things. It makes it so much easier to see this in action so as not to get overwhelmed by the thought of "new ways to eat". However, I live in the US and some of the names of produce are different. I just looked up Rocket and found out that I know it as Arugula lettuce. LOL Okay, so we aren't as different in our eating as I thought... Be well!!!

Do you calculate how many calorie you take per day? It looks like very low (around 1000 cal) based on your "what I eat in a Day".

+Sarah Jewell Thanks! Oh yes - potatoes are paleo :) Sweet potatoes are a paleo favourite - they're a good source of carbohydrate and make great food for healthy gut bacteria! Some people avoid white potatoes on a paleo diet, mainly because they are part of the nightshade family, which some people react poorly too. Love your meal ideas. There are a lot os studies that say fasting isn't good for most females. I also say I am Paleo-ish because I also do dairy.

We're hoping to make some new 'what we eat' videos soon! Hummus is not considered paleo because it's made out of chickpeas - but that said, we do eat hummus on occasion (but it's definitely not a staple!). We've been doing paleo for roughly 2 years :)

+Vanessa McCarthy Hi Vanessa, we get our kraut and kimchi from our local health food stores - the brands we buy are Kehoe's Kitchen and Peace, Love & Vegetables Byron Bay. They make really good flavours (and are raw and unpasteurised), so hopefully you can find them near you :)

I actually recommend coconut milk, almond milk, or coconut creamer for coffee :-)

Can I ask, please? You both have great bodies, but if you have a lot of weight and fat to shift, should there be foods to avoid if I want consistent weigh loss until I achieve my ideal weight? - Sean

+Sean Redmond Thanks Sean! Weight loss can be a tricky one, as there are quite a few factors that go into it besides diet (e.g. sleep, stress, environmental toxins etc). Also, everybody is different! Broadly, diet-wise we'd recommend getting an understanding of your macros during the day, and then you can play around with that to see what works for you. Some people seem to see better results on a lower carb diet (like, under 100g per day), but others can stall on a low carb diet...so it's really just a matter of seeing how your body responds. Another tip is try not to overdo it on the nuts - it's an easy thing to do on a paleo diet!
