I wish more people could see your videos that are contemplating going vegan. Your meals are awesome looking & I cant wait to cook some of them. So many vegan you tubers show meals that restrict a diet that already retricts any animal products. When they then restrict oils, vegan butter, & salad dressings (other than avocado or tahini), it can be both discouraging & daunting. Especially to a late plant based bloomer like me who will be 63 in November. Thank you Jess for these phenominal recipes!! You definately influenced my decision to go plant based!!

Can I just say - you are SO wonderful. I used to watch your What I Eat in a Days all the time back when I first went vegan (nearly 5 years ago now!! ) and your channel was still so new. To be honest, with time, you kinda fell off my radar a bit... Recently, however, I found myself lacking inspiration for some healthy and versatile recipes, and you were the first one that came to mind :)) Needless to say, you did not let me down!!!! You're still out there; smashing it with your creative recipes, spot-on filming, and neat recipe descriptions, and I just want to say I appreciate you so much!!! I absolutely love your videos ♥️ the recipes always look so delicious. And can I just say that it's such a relief to find a vegan KZbinr that eats like a normal person 😂 like, the food looks nutritious, healthy, and fresh, but you're not unnecessarily restricting carbs, fats, oils, sugars, etc. You're also not doing some crazy fasting routine or skipping meals, and you mercifully eat snacks. And the portions look normal, unlike some of these people that barely eat enough to keep a toddler running. 😬 Thank you for being a great role model. I always recommend your channel, especially to new vegans. Your channel was essential when I myself transitioned several years ago.

I attempted the chickpea "tuna" salad. It was flavorful. However, I couldn't mash it with a fork. I used a masher and a lot of the beans were still whole which threw the texture off. In this case, I mixed the rest of the yoghurt in with another yoghurt, added it into smoothies etc. - I hate waste so it was never going to go to waste! Smoothies are always a great way to use something up (depending on what it is obviously, haha) as there are so many other flavours you can throw in to mask the taste :-) X

Hi where do you get your firm tofu from?
@JessicaBeautician4 жыл бұрын
I usually get the Biona tofu in a jar, otherwise this one was the Tofoo Naked tofu from Tesco :-) X

@@JessicaBeautician thank you never used it before got some from amazon it was in water and just fell apart when I opened it x

Those tofus you'll need to press - same with the Biona one as it comes in water! The Tofoo brand tofu doesn't really need pressing but does need draining of the water in the packet, so I'd recommend that one :-) X

A randomized controlled trial found that vegetarians reported significantly better mood than omnivores and fish eaters after the trial, but a longitudinal study found a vegetarian diet was predictive of depression and anxiety.

Hey so I want to be vegan, but I'm only 12 years old and my fam doesnt have that much money. How could i start being vegan, or should i just wait until i move out? Love ur vids btw :D

Why not try seeing if your family could swap 1 dinnertime meal a week to a vegan alternative to start with, so they see it's no more expensive, and they might enjoy it too? Some great budget crowd-pleasers might be a chilli, shepherd's pie, or a vegan spaghetti bolognese using plant-based mince. Ultimately they should see that vegan basic staples (rice, beans, lentils, fresh veg) are cheaper, hence developing nations rely on them! You could also offer to cook or help cook, and to plan out the meal/meals!
