Hey Kenz, I love watching your videos and have been following you for a long time! As a former dance major who graduated in 2022 and is now a ballet teacher you need to eat more. Not only to get you through your technique classes but your academics as well. Not eating before your morning ballet class is not ideal or safe. I used to eat 2 hard boiled eggs and a card (usually whole grain toast) before ballet to get something in me that didn’t feel heavy. Prioritizing a big lunch in the middle of the day to get you through anymore technique and rehearsals is also so important. Carbs and protein and even some sugar is healthy. I promise as a former dance major who used to eat like you showed in this video, more food is essential. Love you Kenz❤

kenz ngl seeing this reminded me of my eating disorder from a few years ago. Make sure you're eating enough for your body and not just your mind! Even if you're a dancer unhealthy doesn't look good on anyone.

I do appreciate you saying this because when I watched it back, it did seem like I did not eat much but I promise i'm still getting adjusted to my long dance days and trying to navigate the best eating times :)

ik ik but my morning classes go from 9 to 12 and sometimes it's hard for me to eat before class so then i have no choice but to wait until after

@@StopTalkingKenz maybe buy some premade protein shakes (like premier protein or fairlife) to keep in your dorm as well as some granola bars and bananas or something and that way if you are running late you can grab a protein shake and a banana or granola bar to have on your way to dance. Or try to go to bed earlier so you can wake up earlier so you have time for breakfast. Maybe try to always keep a couple different snacks in your dance bag too

Have you tried focusing on Macros? That might help you identify what foods to eat. I think many young women and girls go through a phase of seeing food as just something that will make you gain weight but our bodies need nutrient dense foods to thrive, especially as an athlete.
