Thanks for this reminder... I'm going through a very difficult last week, and on, into this next, with a bad hospital experience for my elderly but otherwise healthy mother. She went into the ER last Saturday seeming none the worse for the wear, so much that my sister and I didn't even think she'd get admitted. Cut to: admitted, horrific reactions to badly prescribed meds, then choking on an applesauce medicine administration, leading to a frantic call at 2am one morning asking if I give permission to intubate her and place her on a respirator! 😭 It looked like she wasn't going to make it!! The stress of watching your loved one receive "care" that in fact is harmful is beyond fathomable. Shout out to anyone else going through such a thing. To advocate for our sick loved one is ... really hard. But thanks for reminding me. We will move through and forward out of the dark patches of time. ❤️ And wholeheartedly agree, Chelsea's Community is like none other! 🫂

I don't consider myself a 'city' person per se, I'm more a fan of natural landscapes and such (even though I do live in a small city lol)...so, it is always SOooo interesting to me to watch your 'day in the life in NYC' videos like this. New York City is not on my list of places to go, but it sure does look lovely as seen through your eyes. So much is relatable like the book shopping, journalling and meandering through cool neighborhoods and of course all that delicious food! Looking forward to see what you film for us next. P.S. Perfect day for me: good coffee, books, lighting candles in the morning and afternoon, since it gets dark at 4 pm. Crocheting, knitting, reading and/or watching Gilmore Girls with my fireplace on, and a cozy blankie. Getting so engrossed in my book that I lose all sense of place and time, and every now and then I look up and glance out at the snowflakes on my window sill. Fall into a deep dreamless sleep, wake up and do it all over again. That's my idea of perfect day. Cheers. :)

My daughter is also in NYC with her kitty (that we also miss dearly). Your vlogs make me feel closer to her somehow. Let’s just say it wouldn’t shock me if I saw her in the background of one of your videos on the train, walking in Manhattan, grocery shopping, etc. So my ideal day: watching your vlog, feeling closer to my girlie while getting new cat-proof Christmas decor out. And imagining my victory dance when I make it 3 to 1 in the NYC Stinker Cat vs Cat Grandma tree battle. We brought this kitty home during lockdown 2 days before Christmas 2020 and ever since have been engaged in epic showdowns for Christmas Tree Supremacy… he’s won every year of course. But I’m well armed this year. When the two of them come home to visit he will be met with a 9 ft tall dowel/stick tree. A very MCM vibe and supposedly impossible to climb. (We’ll see.) And the “real” tree with lights will be sitting outside on the porch, cheerfully taunting him behind glass

Hi Chelsea! I practically was born with a book in my hand, but even I go through reading slumps( I blame KZbin!😅). This is what I do to get back to reading: 1. Try to read 3x a week for 45 minutes, it turns out to be longer than that, but 45 minutes is doable, esp during these long, dark winter nights. 2. Getting a Kindle w/ a library app will spoil you for choice. 3. Kindle app for tablet is great...esp for books with lots of photographs. 4. Of course, I still prefer actual books, and for some reason, my mind is calmer when I read a book in hard copy, but time and space makes a Kindle necessary. 5. Hanging out at a library for a couple of hours is my favorite way to spend me time( then walking to coffee shop and having coffee and donuts while checking out books I checked out. I'm lucky because the neighborhood where I live puts me square in the middle of 4 public libraries!🤓💖
