When I saw your meditation spot I wanted to cry because it is so beautiful. If I had that spot I would spend all my time there and only get up to go to the toilet xD

I really believe what you eat will help my sister in law has MS and she is my age 35 ... she hasn’t changed her diet and I love her to death I wish she was eating the way you do!!! Sounds like your doing really well happy to hear that your videos are wonderful

Izzy, I noticed you have a dish with a flour tortilla. I came across this article posted on medicalXpress.com, titled "New study links protein in wheat to the inflammation of chronic health conditions." I quickly dropped all wheat from my diet; whole wheat and un-bleached flour. Here I was trying to heal my body and slow the progression of my RRMS, and I was eating substances that enflamed my nervous system. Thank you for sharing your videos.

Cindy Roper I’ll definitely second this! I don’t have MS, but have dealt with an autoimmune condition with similar symptoms for the past 4 years that has improved significantly simply with the removal of all gluten from my diet. Gluten is the number one thing that everything I’ve read says to remove, even if nothing else. It’s certainly worked for me, someone who was highly skeptical of it when I started. Also, I’m not sure why she’d remove all animal products. While dairy can definitely be inflammatory, animal fats are actually very healing, as long as they’re high quality, organic, grass fed, etc. Check out Dr Terry Wahls if you haven’t already, she’s a doctor who became basically immobile due to progressive MS and brought herself completely back with a paleo oriented diet.

One day I will give up gluten - I'm just not ready too yet. I do try to eat gluten free where possible.

If you don't follow Wahls (9 cups of veggies)protocol then try Medical medium protocol, or combination of both...start celery juice as a must

I do want to give celery juice a go - even though celery is vile

Dark chocolate ("real" chocolate) is good for brain health! Every time I have a candy craving these days I get dark chocolate. I downloaded a mobile app called "Rainbow" made by nutritionists, where you can set your daily goal of eating a food "rainbow" (foods of different colors) with 10 or 15 healthy foods (fruits, vegetables, seeds, nuts,... -no meat or dairy) and it is so much fun and so exciting to chase your goal every day. I have to at least eat 5 vegetables and 5 fruits a day, plus make it diverse so that I can make the rainbow. And this app provides us with information about all the food and what it's good for. And in the brain health section it says that we should eat more omega 3, vitamin K and C, copper, iron,... So foods like broccoli, dark chocolate, coffee and green tea (and many more). I'm not advertising, I just thought of sharing this very informative app (I mean, ONE OF the sources of information) that I have been loving and that has been motivating me to do my best and eat healthy every day :)

What kind of fish do you eat? And how many times a week? I've been on an extremely strict vegan diet for the last 3 years but just began to eat fish a while back and I'm not sure how often I should be eating it. I only eat wild caught salmon.

hello I think you are consumming too much gluten (pitta bread and tortilla) gluten is very imflammatory and should be avoided
@zsuzsavincze67956 жыл бұрын
Safia Aissi according to the OMS program gluten shuld be avoided only for those having an allergy to it. I may be wrong though.
@safiaaissi24096 жыл бұрын
Zsuzsa Vincze Thank for your answer as far as I know gluten is bad and should be avoided people suffering from ms as it imflammatory just like sugar and milk so the best thing an ms patient should do is to make imflammation "starve" because imflammation nourishes itself essentially from gluten sugar and dairy products
@sharminfaraj55506 жыл бұрын
Safia Aissi i agree

I guess its depents. There are peoples with MS like for example Terry Whals. She do not tolelate gluten but she eats saturatet fat. On the other Hand there are a lot of testimonials from the OMS program or even from the starch solution program who got healed with a lot of gluten. MS is not = MS. I for example have no lesions but symtoms (no MS diagnose) but intermitten fasting and a simular diet to OMS works not to bad if i do not over eat and give my body time to repair it self. For example i can run more now. My expeience is so far that the most important part is to heal the gut and the digestion and at the same time give the body building material. The task is to find a balance to get well over a long period of time. Just like Izzy MS do. There are many ways to cure MS but no ways without diet. And diet heals the gut. Then detox is possible again and than we can turn the direction :-) (sorry for my english im German)
