My name is Tammy. I struggle with too many mental issues, lol, but don't we all? On this channel I film most of my struggles, I'm not that open in real life though. I'm not promoting any kind of (eating) disorder, I'm just documenting my life. I'm very hapy to have you Little Lemons accompany me. Thank you SO much!

Can I ask why you put a third piece of bread in your sandwich
@TammyLemon.

To up the kcalories for my meal. I want my breakfast and lunch to contain around 500-600 kcalories so that at the end of the day I'm between 1800 en 2200 ish. Dutch bread is quite different from American bread. It doesn't have any added sugars and is baked fresh every night before we buy it. It also doesn't contain lots of other additives. But most important, I am a firm believer of carbs not being as bad as they are portrait at this moment. Slow, complex carbs that is, like in our bread. I do agree though with fast carbs no being a very smart choice since they make your insuline peak very fast (as opposed to slow and steady like with complex carbs). Diet and food image change all the time. I do know though that it's a trend to really fear and avoid carbs at the moment. More about this in my next video! ❤️ 🍋

Perspective. If I made your sandwich, it would serve our family of 3. We might not be big eaters but we are not skinny. Do your research about how much the average sedentary person really eats. (It's not what the government suggests or what is on the back of food packages) One day you will have to face eating less than half what you do unless you add a decent amount of physical activity. If you start changing your mindset. You will find in the future that you will be able to indulge in the occasional 2 big slices of cake or half a packet of chocolate biscuits without having to worry.

@@TammyLemon. A spoonful of sugar in bread isn't the issue. Carbohydrates turn into sugar in the body. Bread, rice, pasta, polenta, savoury pastry etc IS ALL SUGAR. Diabetics calculate insulin based on carbohydrate intake. Sugar is avoided or not eaten at all. (Glucose for hypo) I have been poor all my life. Everyone plugged low fat/sugar/salt. So I ate rice, pasta, bread etc plain or with salad and a bit of meat. I never ate as much carbohydrate as you are. Maybe you'll be lucky and won't develop diabetes.

Some people love making comments about what this woman decides to put in her own body (not yours.) Tammy does an excellent job stating that she is in recovery for an ED which looks very different than simply trying to lose weight. You’re doing a great job, Tammy. @Asspats and superchats giving someone advice on a topic/goal they have publicly shared I.e weight loss goals and comparing that to “telling women what to do with their bodies” is like comparing apples to Valentine’s Day. Literally no correlation… can’t even use apples and oranges because they are at least both fruits. One is advice about habits with food and choice of food and there’s absolutely no correlation with what to do with your body.

@@CherryChia23 i think the point is Tammy has stated she isn't on a weight loss journey but rather overcoming her ED...which are two different things completely and just giving her advice on weight loss isn't what she is asking so it comes of as unnecessary comment.

@@yellowmesh7821 so you are saying that a channel named “Tammy weight loss” is not on a weight loss journey? You are saying that she’s not trying lose weight by overcoming her ED? That all the weight loss wins and losses she shares is just to be ignored?

@@CherryChia23 and again, is not what she is CURRENTLY focused on as of rn...I don't know why is it so hard to understand, she has done it, she had lost weight before but gained it back because of her ED. So it is all in the realm of weight loss but she is focusing on another aspect that doesn't need the input of 'nutricionist' on the Internet to blabber abt...like wtf is normal to her isn't to you, when she has had a problem with food since ever 💀 like, yeah most people don't do it, yet most people don't have a BED and don't be pushing 20k calories meals when it gets triggered...so yeah it's not normal to expect normality from someone who's been having abnormal behaviours all their life, it's such an unrealistic expectation and delusional pressure Also you brush off the fact it crearly stated she was experimenting...that meal she lost, she had to get it cause in her logic as of now it will lead her to binge, cause she's been there before when she skipped meals and that lead her to binge, cause the mindset she is trying to kill is that one of 'i skipped a meal so that gives me leverage, later on, and if it adds up thru days then I can get to binge' so yeah to her having a meal skipped can lead to a binge

Idk I'm just really happy I found you. As so many have said you feel so genuine. I greatly appreciate your honesty. Your courage to share has helped others feel less alone. I've been in ED recovery for the majority of my 20s. Different issues (bulimia/atypical anorexia) but I was always encouraged to eat regularly to avoid the binge-restrict cycle I was stuck in, so you eating regularly to hit your calorie goals even if you're not hungry is familiar to me. I believe in you! Take care of yourself because you deserve it

there are some people on here who i just want to shake and tell them to keep their comments to themselves reguardless of if they mean harm or not........recovering from BED is not all about weight loss or weight in general its about mindset around food and your body the fact she is trying to rewire her brain into not thinking about loosing weight and just trying to focus on the relationship she has with food and the mindset she has surrounding it its admirable its very hard to unlearn behaviours that are engraned into her brain and it shows alot of strength to fight those and change the way she thinks. Weight is just a cofactor of the actual illness so if she looses weight from it then thats ok but even if she doesnt thats ok too aslong as the mindset changes therefore giving her a better life then thats the main thing. keep it up tammy you got this keep fighting this horrible illness and get back to having a life where you can thrive and find who you are as a human being outside of BED

The mindset of making up calories is half the problem - this system doesn’t seem to be helping Tammy you either need to understand you are carrying ‘food’ on you body as fat and you don’t need to eat large amount of fuel foods such as carbs and fats because you are carrying fuel, or just stop wanting to change and embrace that you want to eat to eat, these mind games you play with yourself are the most damaging (please note I am not advocating Keto or low carb just less portions and palmful of carbs if wanted at the meal) this is not for weighloss, struggle or anything like that just to understand nutrition and fuel for a healthy life

Can I please give you a tip? Frozen bananas break down differently than banana eaten whole. Having a big smoothie each morning is actually giving you a massive sugar hit, which will see your energy crashing early, as well as adding extra calories. You're much better off with slow release carbohydrates like oats, and maybe top it with half a banana and some berries etc and add almond/oat milk 😊

My only advice as someone who has frequently binged is it is to accept that being hungry is okay as is not eating 3 meals a day. Our larger bodies need nutrition but we have enough fat stores to survive. It's hard to accept this but it's the only thing that can help with weight loss so long as you're mentally prepared to shift the thinking.

I have watched a lot of your videos & noticed your portions aren't just big, they are 4 or 5 times what you should be eating. I am not talking about your binges, but the meals you think are good for you. Start by cutting them in half & then later cut them in half again until it's normal size. Your stomach will shrink & get used to it. I also agree with most of the comments, there is no reason to use 3 pieces of bread. Eating a lot of carbs makes you crave more carbs.

Why do you think you have to make up for a missed meal because you only ate two meals the day before. Today is a new day so forget what happened yesterday and eat only IF you feel hungry. You need to get out of this mindset of eating more today because you didn’t eat so much yesterday. One thing I do think is good is that your flat is now tidy which can only help your mental health. My grandmother always said “a tidy house is a tidy mind” and “a cluttered house is a cluttered mind”. Personally I can’t stand living in an untidy home and believe that everything has a place. Hopefully this is a positive thing for you so that you can now focus on your weight loss journey! I hope Stefan is now recovered from Covid xxx

It's great to see less sugar but would be better to see many more crudités. If you slice cucumber really thin (like on a mandolin), it's super easy to pile on your sandwich, same for other veggies. I added a crunchy fresh green pepper with oil and vinegar to tortellini tonight. (Just a little butter, no sauce.) I don't eat meals without veggies usually. This is my Frenchie influence.

...if you are overeating things like bread then cutting them down or out would help in that sense. But people swear they lose weight cutting carbs quickly bc when you don't have carbs in your system, they are not binding to water and being stored in your muscle. If you work out regularly you know that your weight fluctuate daily based on your carb, water and exercise intake. So yes you may weigh 10 lbs less if you eat keto. But you won't be less fat at the start. You only lose fat weight by continuing to stay in a deficit. Keto is insidious. You aren't meant to weigh one static number and as lean of a number as that is, especially if you have to do unsustainable things to keep it.

Nobody asked for your recommendation. Tammy has a dietician and healthcare team who actually understand BED.

@@Mindful_GuidedMeditation her dietician probably is recommending bread. She is a Dutch girl, and we eat bread for lunch and breakfast. Almost all Dutch eat this twice a day, and it is normal. She is also probably eating whole grain.

Tammy, I stopped counting calories and still lost weight and normalized my weight. All I did was cut out refined processed foods (like refined flour), added sugary foods and dairy products. All I eat is meat, seafood, veg, fruits, roots and water, cooked with butter or just plainly steamed or boiled. That's it... I honestly think the processed refined stuff doesn't properly have nutrients in it, leading the body to keep craving more food.

Hey 👋 If I may give you a small tip: why don't you integrate more fresh food in your meals? Exemple a salad (ex. Tomato salad leafs cucumber ) with your sandwich to add more fibers. I was not aware of that before but over cooked veggies are less interesting in term of nutrition. Besides, pumkin soups for fall are the best and full of good vitamins etc. Have a nice day and keep going with the good work 🙂

I am really enjoying your channel and applaud you for the work you put in to identify your triggers, your continued awareness of them and steps you've taken toward changes that must be made to avoid bingeing. It's also courageous of you to share all of this. May I ask, how are you so good at english? You are fluent, and you even know slang and colloquialisms. Thanks for sharing!

I was going to come on here and suggest keto and intermittent fasting but after reading through these comments I think I’ll refrain. I too have struggled with my weight my entire life and it sucks. I believe you have all of the information you need it just needs to click and you need to be ready for it. I am 5.2’ highest weight 220 lowest 120 current 148. I have never budged in weight fallowing any nutritionists advice. Please keep that in mind. You seem like such a beautiful, kind and fun person and I will continue to watch and root for you! You’ve got this! Give those sweet kitties mooches for me!

@@AzaleaBee Great example of apophasis. I was going to go into great detail of the life style but I did not because it has already been covered in the comments. I have been where she is at, I mean no harm and wish her nothing but health and happiness in her life. My main point I wanted to get across is that there is a way to get out of this hole, been there. Had I fallowed my nutritionists advice, with my pre-diabetes and extremely high blood pressure I would probably not be alive today. I wasn’t trying to be an ass by my wording.

@@g24792 I'm glad you have found a healthier path. Intermittent fasting and keto (if whole foods) certainly can help someone with various symptoms of metabolic syndrome recover. My comment about apophasis was not intended to be snarky.
