What a timing for this video Sejal!! I have been living alone since 2015 but I was somehow managing without cooking by myself much coz I found it boring and time consuming. I used to order food from outside or just make pasta most of the time. But with the onset of 2020 and a health scare that the end of 2019 brought to me, I have no choice but to change my lifestyle and make stuff at home!!! My go to recipes: Jeera Rice Yellow Dal Khichdi Capsicum curry Beans poriyal Upma Dosas from ready dosa batter that I get from Indian store here in California. It’s good you’re eating low spice low sodium food. And good job starting your day with water. I recommend everyone reading this comment. I learnt it the hard way. START YOUR DAY WITH WATER. AND HAVE MINIMUM 1.5 LITRES PER DAY.

Main ek tip du.. thoda heavy par healthy khane ke liye ek chatpati oats and dal ki khichdi kha lena, usme different veggies and greens dalke. It's super healthy and tasty also. Quinoa, oats khana is good but tumhara sabji ka intake kaam hain. Eat lots of greens. Saag bagaira is really good.

I think you should eat roti sabzi in noon you can digest it easily coz in day time we all are working . And at night you can prefer salad or quinoa whatever but not roti and rice ❤ This works according to my body so thought to just share .

I'm a medico n I would say it is essential for you to have rice (high carb) Atleast one time in the afternoon bcuz carbs are the one who gets converted to glucose which provides you energy in such a hectic schedule of gyming, shoot n traveling. N it's a healthy carb you won't put on weight if ur exercising n you need to consume.if nt daily Atleast on alternate days a week bcuz quitting carb is nt a healthy weight loss process it mgt make you unhealthier as body can't produce enough energy for it's metabolic activity. I live by myself too. Try including fruit juices if you have a bullet blender, because it just takes 30seconds to make any juice and you just have to add the drinking ring to the jar, so you don't have to change it to a different mug 🤪 If you like you can add protein powders as well ✌️

Hey Sejal...read Rujuta Diwekar...she suggests rice with dal for dinner. Plain rice like a fried rice could be unhealthy. But combining rice with a protein slows down the digestion of rice and you don’t put on weight. This is an excellent option for dinner. Dal Palak, dal Makhani, Tadka dal and many more options!! You will love it💖💖

Look dear u r so mature so it will be little bit difficult for me to give you free advice..which is that u should eat freshly prepared food cooked by yourself. It just require half an hour to one hour for proper meal preparation.. I know u can afford a cook but I prefer people to make food by themselves.. Instead of chia you can also use basil seeds for pudding.. it's sasta than chia plus it swells really fluffy makes a yum pudding.. try making some smoothie bowls.. it's nothing but blending some nice fruits, and veggies together have it with nuts and other good things.. super easy.. look for some recipes on KZbin :P Also u can have bowl of water melon, melon, apple etc.. have dates, nuts n small piece of jaggery whenever u feel like eating sweet.. it not just satisfy the sweet tooth but the iron in the jaggery is good for us .. whatelse yep look for rajgira aka amaranth puffed possible rich in iron, calcium etc etc.. very less carbs have it with soy milk like we have corn flakes.. Living alone so this is relatable but I don't have maid so I cook myself. I had no idea of cooking before I started living alone but mom came and helped and now I can make a few things and it really feels lazy to snack in between which isn't good though 🤷♀ to save time I cook a large amount one day and eat for next 3 days since it's winter now. I buy the rotis for the night. On weekdays I lunch in my institute canteen and on weekends I make simple dal rice and egg for lunch and pancake or noodles for dinner. Breakfast is either cornflakes milk or bread milk or poha with water. Ordering food really feels like wastage of money. I try to keep small things like chikki, muri, cake, maggi for emergency
