Yasuko, I love how you’ve kept your Japanese roots as well as incorporated the western world into your diet. As someone who lives in a westernized country, I get so much inspiration from your videos. Thank you 🙏🏼

Thank you for another video 😊 The recipes looked amazing, I am inspired by all the ways you used corn this week! I have been making spicy corn ribs and it is delicious but I am a bit bored of the same recipe 😅 I really liked the cute corn dishes you have, maybe I’ll see if I can find some at the thrift store too! The eggplant recipe looked delicious too. I make a similar recipe with zucchini or other squash and really enjoy it in the fall time too. Sometimes for the stuffing I add rice and nuts as well. I hope the weather cools down for you! It has been rainy here but thankfully the temperatures came down to about 20-25 so we feel comfortable. Have a great week, take care!

hmm corn ribs sounds delicious 😋. Yes the corn dishes were a great find and to my surprise they were made in Japan 😆, hopefully you can find something similar! Oh I think zucchini would work well with those ingredients too, I'll use that at some point. That's good that the temperature is a little comfortable, we've also had a couple cooler days too but today was really hot! Thanks and have a great week too! 🥰

Hurray for corn season! We’ve been enjoying a lot of it here on the West Coast as well. Your cold noodle dish looks delicious- adding that to my meal plan, thanks for the inspiration!

It’s hard to cook with that kind of eggplant. We don’t usually eat the skin.

Ahh I see, thank you! I'll peel it next time 😊
@davidalexanify
@davidalexanify 5 ай бұрын
@@whatsfordinner_japanese you don’t have to peel it if you want to use it as a “boat” to hold the filling mixture. It makes for a nicer presentation. Just eat as much of the inside as possible and leave the purple skin. That is why I love that Chinese eggplant, but it’s hard for me to find it . I hope this helps . The filling mixture looked absolutely delicious. I love your recipe ideas, especially when you include a lot of vegetables.. Americans do not eat enough vegetables! 🥗

Do the groceries last you a week? I need to reduce my bill, there are 2 adults and 2 toddlers. 🫣
@whatsfordinner_japanese
@whatsfordinner_japanese 4 ай бұрын
Yeah most of it lasts a week, things like milk, eggs and some vegetables I may buy more only if I need. I tend to buy potatoes, onions, rice and flour (which are essential to us) in bulk and look out for things that are on sale to help keep my budget down. I hope that helps, things are expensive days 🙂
