really cool to see the honesty for the whole weeks worth. usually i find the vids on daily/ weekly food intake see to be very unrealistic.

they may be realistic, but it's hard to tell for sure. on the other hand, most people don't want to watch a 30 minute video. i suppose there are ways i could tighten this up to make it more succinct

dude ..actually love this video ... it's about as genuine as I've seen from someone and that's pretty dope. there's no insane dieting tips or tricks here, just an average set of meals that are super affordable. especially like the fact that you weren't wasting left-overs (eating the kids apple cores, etc), dopeness man.

Kofuzi, really enjoyed your interview with Floris on the Extramilest podcast. One of my main goals in life right now is to get on that podcast but I've got a lot of work to do before I get there! Really like this video. Here in Spain we've been in lockdown for 30 days now and we're a little less than half way through it. One of the very few positives from all this is that my wife and I haven't been out to eat since this all began. We've eaten every single meal at home, no take out either. We both feel better for it. At home our diet is really good, lots of veggies and good fresh foods. But the weekend we usually eat out a lot and when I travel it's not always easy to eat well. Being at home has given us much better control of what we're eating lately. Something to keep in mind when the lockdown ends.

Hey Ko, I watched/listened to this entire video whilst doing the dishes...lol. Kudos on the Kim Chi! I love that stuff and all Korean food in general. This quarantine has definitely changed our family's eating habits as well. We used to order out at least 1-2 times during the week and go out to dinner 1-2 times on the weekend...... all that has stopped and I'm definitely cooking more than ever! The frozen veggies work out great as well for stir fry....I made that the other night.

@JulianHerzog4 жыл бұрын
@@kofuzi For this kind of static setup, wouldn't manual focus work decently well?
@kofuzi4 жыл бұрын
It would, but this particular lens doesn’t have a switch, so I’d have to reach around the camera to get to manual, and then there’s the difficulty of manual focusing on oneself when one isn’t in front of the camera. And then I’d have to sit relatively still, which I can’t do
@JulianHerzog4 жыл бұрын
@@kofuzi Ok, yeah I see that that's not ideal. Does your camera allow you to set a specific focus point which you could select to be on your face, instead of using a full area AF mode that gets lost quite easily?

Your video made me hungry too. That Madras sauce looks like a Trader Joe product though I couldn’t tell for sure as it went by....? Not only do we share a fondness for hot sauce (and BBQ sauce) on just about anything, but I gather you also love the Chinese dim sum classic sauce combo of soy sauce, hot sauce, vinegar (rice wine or black) and a dash of sesame oil. Makes almost anything taste great.

Awesome job. I may need to record my diet for a week like that. Looks like you are more of a lacto-ovo vegetarian. The chocolate chips have milk, and the egg is there. I've been full vegan for about seven months now, and I tapered down into it from being pescatarian vegetarian, and also eating cheese. Full vegan is really tricky. I discovered that gummy bears which are my favorite candy have gelatin which is derived from animals, and also the soup broth powder I was using was derived from animal products too. I didn't even think about it at the time for some reason. I was able to get vegan versions of these though. Even honey is not considered vegan because it's a product derived from insects. There are these little tricky things that you pick up on when full vegan, and it's almost like a diet that you have to practice doing, just like practicing running. That seems to be part of the fun though.
@kofuzi4 жыл бұрын
sugar is not vegan either, but this isn't and wasn't a video about veganism. technically, i'm a social omnivore. if i'm a dinner guest at someone's house or i'm at a restaurant where someone is sharing their cultural heritage, i'll eat whatever is provided or suggested.
@evanjohnmo4 жыл бұрын
kofuzi yes, bone char is used to make refined sugar white so it's really not vegan. Many brands make vegan sugar though. And get this, corn syrup is vegan friendly, so the question becomes whether any specific diet is completely proper. I get it, it's hard to resist the brisket that a guest brings to a potluck dinner. My most difficult thing has been cheese pizza. BTW, i hope it didn't seem like i was implying this video was about vegan diet.

For easy sessions on the bike you probably want to lower the resistance and up the cadence to about 90. 70 is more what you'd do for a strength endurance sort of session - like a leg workout on the bike. The higher cadence will normally result in an increase in HR for the same power output, but it will take less out of your legs.
@kofuzi4 жыл бұрын
i'll give that a try. but then my heart rate lowers to around the 110s. i know "easy" on a bike is a bit different than "easy" on a run, but 110s seems too low

ketchup on a hot dog? i know you're from jersey so it's cool and all, but that is considered blasphemy in chi-town. good thing you wear a mask, lol.
@kofuzi4 жыл бұрын
i think the crucial fact that is easy for people to overlook is that the dogs themselves are not fungible. the flavor profile of a Sabrett's is very different than the flavor profile of a Vienna Beef. I believe it was a Vienna Beef executive who said in an interview that the Vienna Beef have recipes that clash (perhaps intentionally) with the flavor profile of ketchup. i think that there is a potential historical legacy to this that relates to refrigeration (or a lack thereof). many classic midwest burger spots, for example, only offered mustard and onions as a topping when they started in the days before widespread refrigeration. the flavors that developed during this time would be ones that complemented then existing potential toppings. another factor to consider is the peculiar insecure pride that Chicago carries as The Second City. If New York has the thin slice, Chicago will have the deep dish. If New York loves ketchup on a hot dog, Chicago will take a weird ideological abhorrence against it. (frankly, that's why the only food I consider a true Chicago food is the Italian beef - it's a food that Chicagoans like because they like it and not because it's different than how somewhere else does it). all that being said, this was a veggie dog. i don't think any condiment rules apply .
