What a nightmare! Me and my mam had the exact same experience with BA coming back from New York! There was multiple delays on their part making us miss connections and they told us to sort it out ourselves and then they lost our luggage also! We thankfully got it back and I'm super happy to see you update that you got yours!

Flying into European countries from Britain, there are laws about cancellations and delays where you get monetarily compensated. If you look up “Europe flight delay compensation” you will get all the information you need to file a complaint and receive I believe 600€ for the length of your delay. Might be more for lost baggage. Hope it helps!

This experience has really been a testing and learning one for you steph, it sucks having been told your luggage is at your destination in zulrich only to be told that it still isn't there could have saved you the trip of having to travel and go there just to not be able to do anything because your stuff didn't reach yet, glad you have your suitcase now. there are some amazing parts to this video to getting to spend time with your dad, to meeting the lovely couple in the airport just connecting and sharing stories to meeting your fans in real life who give you support. all the best steph and safe travels. hope you were still able to make the best of it regardless and you were able to at least get a refund for all the frustration caused by the Airline.

I am so sorry. We flew from US to Europe on Iberia with our toddler last year. Nothing near the delays you had, but one delayed flight and they lost both our suitcases and stroller for a full week. Cue us standing at the lost baggage counter for two hours with a SCREAMING baby who had slept 2 hours on the whole 24 hour trip, and not even having his stroller or any of this things (clothes, monitor, food). It is so SO frustrating.

I feel for you Steph. We had our flight to Switzerland cancelled by BA too which meant we missed our 1 week river cruise, the worst thing is they never even apologised and the staff at the airport were no help whatsoever. Worst customer service and I won’t be flying with BA ever again either.

Exact same thing happens with American Airlines …. Last minute they said flight cancelled and no one was at the booth t talk as we all had questions…..but thankfully it was my company trip so they paid for hotel and all but extremely stressful. Got my luggage after 3 days!!!!…. Luggage loss for me is like loosing everything as it’s not the price of things in there …. It can have the most comfortable things you have owned, accumulated and loved over a course of years… cannot be compensated for some dollars …. But hats off your positive attitude….I was literally yelling and crying and what not …. At one point My phone ran out of charge and all hell broke( even though I had charger but all the charging stations were taken and quite a few flights got cancelled and everyone were loosing their phone charge and minds )

Lost luggage is bad enough when you go on a holiday where there are no consequences other than inconvenience.
