Copper is good for making jam and really good for whisking eggs, (especially whites) because it helps the process but for other cooking, you'll want it to be lined with tin or stainless steel. Unless you intend to make jam in it (which I doubt, haha), it is fine to keep as a decorative piece or as a party bucket for drinks like you said. Just make sure you dry it very well after using.

I actually stopped the video to go suss out that Anthropologie cheese plate, I have bookmarked and might be adding that to my wish list too LOL! I can't wait to see that ring your parents gifted you, your mom always has such a great eye for vintage items. I have a very similar basket to the one Mike got you (the tray one), I use mine on our tufted ottoman to display some picture frames, a plant and candle. It is so versatile. Happy Birthday again!! Hey Fleur. Wonderful video. Copper reacts to various liquids at different temperatures. Even juices (like coconut juice) leaches some of the copper when left in the container, which makes the juice toxic. I would recommend that you research a bit about that copper vessel before using it. We at India use it to store water and drink from it. We clean the vessel every day with mild soap water. 🙂

I LOVE Arthouse Unlimited. So pleased you talked about them. Discovered them when I was given a soap bar as a gift about a year ago. The soap bar has no palm oil, comes in fully recyclable packaging and, wait for it, smells EXACTLY like Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir (it’s the one with “Have a Hug”) inscribed on it - I forget the name of the scent. Supporting artists with physical and learning difficulties too and the designs are lovely. Such a great brand.

It's not that you can't cook with copper pots it is that you have to maker sure they are very clean and have no verdigris on the surface that comes in contact with food. You will find that they are still used today in candy making for sugar candies because they conduct heat so well.

For future reference Dear Frances runs small from what I've seen from other fashion bloggers! I can't shop there because my feet are so big they don't even make my size in a lot of their styles + I'm a half size (41.5 but I can do a 42 with an insole if it's a boot but they don't make a 42 for every style/color way).
