the smack balloons are basically a reaction of sodium bicarbonate and citric acid. when you smack the bag, you start the reaction. the reaction makes trisodium citrate, water, and CO2 gas (which is the fizzing noise you hear). :)

OMG! I got those wack a packs last year. Those are fun. It's cold inside and it sounds slushy because there's a pack of vinegar and when you wack it, that little pack of vinegar opens and there's baking soda so it fizzles and carbon dioxide comes and it blows it up.

The way the balloons work is there is antacid in the balloon and water and when you combine them it fizzes and creates air that fills the balloon.

the reason y the balloon is cold because i think wat is in it is basically there is a little packet in there that i think either salt water or vinegar and the balloon has some baking soda or dry ice powder either one of those just letting u know =)

you put the basket in the clear wrap upside down lol. ive used those before and ur suppose to sit the basket in there and use a blow dryer to fit it to the basket :)

Not that this is important anymore but I have those balloon things and the reason you smash it is because there is baking soda loosely inside and there's a bag of vinegar so when you smash it the bag pops and the balloon fills with carbon dioxide gas which is the it's cold (a chemical reaction)
