Having our Sims ski/snowboard on actual slopes in The Sims 4 is really fun to look at, but the fact that winter activities are tied to a single location can get boring eventually. I wish we had half pipes too so we could at least practice in every world.

The Sims 3 did so well. The snow builds up slowly, lakes freeze and you can ice skate on them, icicles slowly form, snowmen are more interesting and varied, Sims can also build igloos... The attention to detail was top notch. Snow in The Sims 4 is so disappointing. It went back to Sims 1's snow that was super flat, just a basic retexture.

Sims 3 is first for me with Sims 2 in second. The snow in those games look so cozy, the attention to detail is so good and I just love the background ambience. Plus nothing beats walking around the worlds in Sims 3 when they're covered in snow, it just looks so beautiful and cozy! Sims 1 did pretty well for being the foundation! Sims 4 is in last, it has no snow depth, the ambience is bland compared to 2 and 3, the worlds don't look as good with snow because of the lack of snow depth and the ugly set dressing, and the animations just feel so lifeless...

It’s crazy to me that a game as new as sims 4 doesn’t have deep snow. Indie games like WolfQuest are able to have deep snow, so, major EA titles should be able to have snow as well.

Hell, in WolfQuest the snow builds up on the side of your wolf that’s facing the wind. Dynamic snow has been a thing for a long time now.

My winner is Sims 3. I like everything about snow there, but especially the igloo. When I played rags to riches it really saved my Sim. Free way to get cozy living 😅 Skating on every iced lake is also nice. And icicles look so cool. Sims 2 is second for me. Pretty good interactions and penguin is so cute. I really miss it in the other games. Sims 4 is nice, but no snow depth and lack of snow in many worlds without players being given a choice is killing it for me. Skiing, snowboarding and bobsleighing in Mt. Komorebi is cool, but it's bad you need another EP just for that. Sims 1 are basics. Not bad basics, but basics where you can only enjoy snow and winter activities during vacations.

Do yo know why Sims 3 is a good game to y'all it is because when i was applying for a job, most of them needed a persin to do Sims 3 gameplay and focus on software EA focuses more on Sims 3 not 4

Sims 2 and 3 is amazing. For this Winter comparison, Sims 3 in my opinion did the best, second being Sims 2, Sims 1, and of course Sims 4 being last because of laziness. 🙂
