Just am idea! We do advent calendars here, and I've gotten 24 books from the thrift store and wrapped one up for each day, so every day of December they get a new book!

I'm not sure if they will ship to you but we have shoes called cabooties and they are soft soled, nice looking, cute shoes. Some have bows and such on them and patterns or solids.

Hey Erica Ingram! Welcome to our little community and thank you so so much for watching and taking time out to comment! I will definitely look into cabooties, thanks for the suggestion. Iris has mastered shorts and dresses but shoes are so tricky so it’s be fab to find ones she can put on herself! Xx

It’s not Montessori-aligned, but there is a series of books called Angelina Ballerina that follows the adv3ntures of a ballet-dancing white mouse and her family/friends!

Hey Ashley! Thanks so much for watching, and for your concern, I really appreciate it!. I most definitely would be worried about my shoeless littles if we lived in Scotland or literally anywhere else in the world where parks are littered with smashed bottles and other nasties. But we live in Dubai and Dubai is next level in terms of cleanliness and the park is pristine thankfully. We are very lucky to live here where it is very safe to run around without shoes.

Jennifer I appreciated your review of the Yoto player. I’ve been looking at Tonies. But now considering the yoto instead. Do you know anything about Tonies?
@MrsConti3 жыл бұрын
Hey Claudia! Thanks for watching 😘 Yes! The Yoto is much better than tonie box in my opinion. With the yoto you get the daily podcast AND kids radio. You can programme everything on your phone and the book selection is better too. I also think the yoto will grow with the girls, but the tonie box is a bit of a novelty item that kids might enjoy for a little while. I did a lot of research before buying the yoto because it was an expensive purchase. It was worth every penny for us though! X

Hey just found your channel and i love it , i am also located in uae, i woyld love if you would let us know from where u purchased the wooden toys behind on the shelves , is kind of a struggle finding good ones here
@MrsConti2 жыл бұрын
Hey Andreea! Thanks so much for watching and commenting, it means a lot to me! Most of my wooden toys are either grapat which I ordered from a uae shop called eggs & soldiers in the Times Square mall or grimms toys purchased from Mumzworld which is also uae based. The wooden vehicles are by Melissa and Doug and you can buy them quite cheaply on amazon, at borders or Mumzworld. To price check against different shops is the best though to save some money as some of these toys are not cheap 😅 Sometimes you can order these toys via amazon back home which can be cheaper snd there are lots of little boutique shops opening all the time like; Martin and Ella, ecosouk, smallable, Harri and eve, Blueterra, The Crib, sweetpea, and maisontini Thanks again for supporting the channel!! How did you potty train Iris so early!! X
@MrsConti3 жыл бұрын
Hey Jasmine! Thanks for watching! It’s quite easy if you are at home and if you don’t mind a bit of mess now and then 😂 I introduced the potty early on and she came with us to the bathroom all the time to see what we were doing. Then I invited her to sit on the potty alongside me or her sister. Sometimes she did at the beginning but as soon as she showed a bit more regular interest in the potty and sitting on it, I took off the diaper 100% of her awake time. Whenever she had an accident, I’d say, whoopsie daisies, pee pee goes in the potty and I’d lead her to the potty to sit and invite her to clean up the mess with me after. After a few days, she got the idea and we never looked back. She still wears a diaper at night time and nap time but never during her awake time. It can be a bit complicated when we go out: we pack a change of clothes, wipes and the whole potty comes too. She goes on it before we leave, then again when we arrive somewhere ( I just set it on the front passenger seat when we park). When we go out, she sometime has accidents but its no big deal. I put an old towel on her car seat and clean her up and off we go again. Please let me know if you need more info, I’m happy to help xx

@@MrsConti thank you for your great reply. My daughter has just turned 2, we tried a couple of times since 20mo but she was never very interested...but i tried again starting yesterday and she seems to be getting into it a bit more. I like you have just let her be bare bum around the house whenever awake and she managed to do a wee and a "bit" of a poo in it yesterday 😆 im just a bit stressed about going out as theres christmas things we want to go out and do...i guess we will see! 😅
@MrsConti3 жыл бұрын
@@jasmineross2453 I totally understand! There’s no reason why you couldn’t just use pull ups when you go out but just continue the potty at home for now just till the season passes if you’re going to be busy

@@jasmineross2453 It should be fine! Iris sometimes wears a pull up when we go to soft play, because, parents are fined 100 aed for any accidents in the soft play and I’d rather not pay if she does have an accident. She doesn’t mind and I just explain to her why we are putting it on. 👍
