I'm an Oma. What I wanted for Christmas every year was a big box of crayons with the sharpener. My dad passed away 3 years ago and the crayons stopped at age 62 for me. Just a sweet memory. I love all your videos. A very heartfelt Merry Christmas from our family to yours.

I love giving experiences. This year I gave my two teenage boys a trip to California for Christmas…….we are from New Zealand. We got back 2 days ago and had the best time. They are at an age I know they will remember and appreciate the trip. As a single mum it took 4 years to save for it. We spent Christmas Day at Disneyland In Anaheim.

you are so right, experiences are important. I am 65 and I still remember going to the zoo and museum every year as a kid. We also camped. My parents made our camper, there was 5 of girls and we were girl scouts. We got into camping as we got into girl scouts. Memories will be with your children for life.

I had glow in the dark stars on my bedroom ceiling and used poster putty to adhere them. They were up for years, even when I moved out after college. At first my mom didn’t like that I had them but went with it since I loved them. After I moved out, my sister would let her toddler son spend the night in there when she came over and when my mom was trying to get him to go to sleep, they’d count the glow in the dark stars.

My daughter had glow in the dark stars on her ceiling growing up and when she moved out, I kept them (now my craft room)since they reminded me of her. So far, they’ve been up there for over 18 years. I wouldn’t worry much about them getting stuck in your vacuum cleaner. lol

My daughter has the burrito blanket she got it two years ago. She got that because my ex husband does this thing some nights where he would wrap the kids up in a blanket and shimmy them while singing " your a burrito" so it has a cute meaning for them.

My kids are almost 4, 6 and almost 8. I always go over board trying to even the gifts out. I even made a list this year of what I was getting them. I'd be in the middle of finding a specific thing and see something for another kid thus moving the present count. Over and over. Then the stockings always end up not fitting everything.
