I love seeing your gifts every year. I love how intentionally you shop for your kids! My kids also have their own interests, and don't follow trends, so it's refreshing to see other families like ours. My 13 year old mentioned a while back that he'd like his own axe for chopping firewood, so I got him that. I also got him a "Murdle" logic puzzle book, so when I went to wrap, and I saw those 2 sitting next to each other, I could not stop laughing!

I love finding families who share lots in common ♥️🥰 haha axe murdle 🤣🤣 hilarious! But also an axe is a great gift! I love life skill interests and fostering those.

My 14 year old is getting a bike, a bunch of Pokemon cards and sets that he wanted, a set of throwing axes, and the Lord of the Rings extended editions. Plus a bunch of stuff in his sticking

First Christmas I haven’t seen her get a cuddly toy or animal/bird figures 😢. But I’m holding out for the stockings 😉. She’s going to love her bow, and everything else 😊

She’s really growing up 🥹♥️ it’s an honour to watch her grow into a beautiful young woman but it is bittersweet to move on from childhood favourites ♥️

Great gifts. My niece is almost 13. When she was in the first or second grade the teacher asked the students oif they had any pets. She said ants.

She has got some lovely gifts! The ants are a funny one, my son asked me for ants one year too, someone got him an ant farm but we never got him the ants for it lol those plastic ants would have been a good joke gift lol My 17 yr old is really into crocheting too, she got into it at 12 and has been a steady hobby, I got her a crocheting backpack this year to store her current projects in and a gift card to Joanne’s. Thanks for sharing, I think she will be thrilled Christmas Day 😊

The amount of people who’ve had kids ask for ants is cracking me up 😆 a crochet backpack sounds so cool!! I’ve never seen one before. And the gift card is such a great idea! Thank you for sharing with me! ♥️

Such great gifts for Em! She’s gonna be so happy and excited. The color block hoodie was sooo cute! My 15 year old is into all things music. For his bday he got an electric guitar. He is into black metal, like really obscure underground black metal the better. He has made his own EP’s and recently made CD copies to give out/sell. He has also sold some music on Bandcamp and has even had a couple indie record companies reach out. So for Christmas he’s getting a bunch of CD’s and cassettes of some of his favorite bands. A new cd, cassette, bluetooth and recording boom box. A new all black jacket because all he wears is black. A few new band tees. He has a jean vest and has a bunch of patches for it but only one has been sewed on so im gonna sew the rest and surprise him. Im running out of time 😅 I am also just wrapping socks and underwear because he says he just wants to unwrap stuff. He asked for a digital watch. The CD’s alone are a hefty penny because they all have to be bought off of Ebay or obscure online stores 😂😂😂 So yea that’s the majority of his gifts!

Omg go D! That’s so incredible he’s really pursuing his passions and getting recognition already. I feel like a proud far away aunty 🥹 Why do they always want the obscure expensive stuff 😅🤪 it sounds like an incredible Christmas for him though, you absolutely killed that!! LOVE the Jean vest. Maybe ear plugs for the rest of the fam in your small space 🤣

I adore your gift choices. I’m tired of all the makeup gifts for young girls. My daughter likes gifts similar to your selections. She asked for spiny leaf insects one year ( which she got) and a scorpion this year ( which she did put ) 😂. Last year she wanted a 3d printer. I homeschool ad well and love that it makes our kids individuals. My son would live a bow like that but we don’t have as many nice choices like that in Australia. I got him a carving set instead although I’m sure he just asked so he could have a legit reason to get a knife 😂. My kids interest in archery came about after they read The Rangers Apprentice series. If your daughter is a reader I highly recommend it…I read it myself it’s so engaging even for adults.

I really believe society tries to push children into adulthood far too fast. Interesting hobbies and having the space and freedom to explore individual freedom makes for much more well rounded children, I agree! 3d printers are so much fun! My husband has a couple and she enjoys printing and painting with him! Carving set is so awesome! Thank you so much for the book rec, I'm going to try these for her! Xx Love finding other homeschool families who share similar values on here!

Oh no.. it's the first Christmas she didn't get stuffy animals... I love seeing all the animals she gets (like the birds..lol).. I guess she is growing up...sigh..❤
@RainbowMiller7 күн бұрын
The fact that you guys are noticing this detail 🥲 to be totally fair, she asked for a very specific giant stuffy, that’s only carried certain times per year if I could find it… I could not, but her brother is giving her his for Christmas 🥹

My son Scott has a thing about textures and big sensory problems... So I have to buy him soft tshirts (cotton/polyester mix), silky pants, etc.. he really struggled with becoming overwhelmed with loud kids or noises like fireworks and concerts.. he was diagnosed with sensory processing disorder when he was 4 or 5.. he does a beautiful job of handling everything these days and has even went to his first 2 concerts in the past few years .. But he is still very picky about how soft things need to feel.. he can't wear jeans or cargo pants, etc . And can't eat certain foods..

That is a very familiar experience in our house! Every one of us thus far has a ✨touch of tism✨ as we like to jokingly say 😂 the tools and adjustments we’ve made to our life and the way we operate are so normal for us now that it makes it pretty easy to accommodate. So glad to hear your son is thriving in balancing learning to be a part of the big loud world, while also coming back to his safe zone at home 🥰
