Thanks for watching! I’m so excited for my kids to open their gifts Christmas morning. How many kids do you have??

Most of the times a toy says 3+ it’s for liability reasons for the companies. The toys have some kind of aspect (usually small parts like magnets in the magnatiles) that could be a safety risk. I just use my best judgment and don’t focus too much on the intended age. I can tell you do that too! I really want to start toy rotation, but haven’t had the motivation yet. I live in an apartment and storing the toys away that aren’t in rotation is my biggest obstacle.
@MalariBainy Жыл бұрын
Yeah I figure it’s to cover themselves haha I have really enjoyed doing a toy rotation. It’s hard if you don’t have a lot of space. I’ve seen some people do just a bin in a close to put toys away for a bit and then switch them out. I’ve done a lot of decluttering videos lately too! Thanks for watching ☺️

I have two girls, 1 and 5, and doing one wrapping paper for each child is the way to go! It's so much easier for everyone. Their share gifts are in a third, sparkly, paper.

Oh that’s a great idea for the shared gifts! Thanks for sharing.

Don’t feel bad, I went way overboard last year! My babes were very overwhelmed. This year I am much more intentional and they’re each getting 7 gifts, plus a lot less junk in their stocking. Loved your video! I have 3 year old and 1 1/2 year old girls

That’s good to know! I’m not alone. I’m thinking less junk in the stockings as well. Thanks for sharing ♥️🎄

Lovely gifts! My oldest is 14 and since she was born we have bought her a new ornament every year and we gift them when we put up our tree, she loves it. We have a 4 and 1 year old who we also now do it for but they don't quite understand yet.

That’s so fun! I have fond memories of my mom giving us a new ornament every year. We had little fake trees in our rooms. I love hearing other people’s traditions. Thanks for sharing!!

My middle child (I have 3) is a rough and tumble Dino and car loving tomboy, she's is turning 8 in December, however she loves loves loves dressing up, sparkle and makeup and nails all the girly things as well. They can absolutely be both😂. She's my little wildflower

That’s so funny! I didn’t think about how she could love both equally! I’m excited to see how her personality develops. Thanks for sharing!

I've always done a different wrapping paper for each person in the house. My kids also get an ornament each year.

Oh cool!! I think the different wrapping paper thing is so fun. I’m excited to try it this year!

Finally a haul I love! We have such similar style in toys (if that’s a thing? 😂). So glad I found your channel! We take a trip to the mountains every year. Nothing super fancy, just a small hotel we love and Santa visits the first week of December every year. I did it as a kid in the same place, so I really get a warm feeling when my kids go. ❤

Aww I love that! Totally a thing haha That trip sounds so fun. What a special tradition that creates so many lasting memories. ☺️

We are doing a yoto mini and a few cards for Christmas this year, also knockoff magnatiles. We have the melissa and doug nativity set. I definitely set things up before gifting them. I'm hoping to find construction stickers or wrapping paper for my son for Christmas.

I so agree with you! It can get so overwhelming for children at Christmas, so for that being the main reason alone I paired right back this year (i used to get so many things haha). Plus they always get something from family members etc too, so it all adds up. PLus, like you said, Jesus is the reason for the season :-D Love how much thought you put into all of this, like I do too. Im now a new sub 🙂 Love from Australia!

My brother and I are about the same age difference as your kids. Unfortunately my mother didn't have the time to teach us all the lessons we needed to build a strong relationship. The one thing I wish she had tought us early is conflict resolution. Rather than teaching us how to work things out ourselves she always had to be our mediator and as a result we can not communicate well as adults.
@MalariBainy Жыл бұрын
That’s really helpful to know! Thank you for sharing. I want to be able to help my kids learn that for sure. It’s so important!
@katemiller7874 Жыл бұрын
That’s the job as a parent. Mediator otherwise they will hurt each other possibly physically. Your adults now work it out. Don’t blame your mom.
@CCL83 Жыл бұрын
@@katemiller7874 it's not me. It's him. He lashes out like a child when someone disagrees with him. I can't get him to talk things out. I have the ability to work out my problems. My boyfriend and I have disagreements and talk out our issues without raising our voices or getting nasty. I had to learn how that is done by myself. My brother insults everyone and tries to hurt people's feelings. He thinks that's how you "win" an argument. Disagreements are not debates so much as hurling insults at someone. Winning is a compromise, not a victory over another person that hurts their feelings. Teaching your kids how to respect others and how to civilly disagree is a parent's job. We may be adults, but we never learned important life lessons early in life. It's not my mother's fault that she was essentially a single working mother. She didn't have the time or energy to deal with all of our problems or to teach us all the life lessons we needed to know. I'm not blaming her, I'm stating what happened in my family as a cautionary tale
