I will be studying abroad in the Netherlands next year, so I have been investigating a little about it. From all the videos I have seen in this process, this has been by far one of the best ones. Dauwtrappen is mainly done in the eastern provinces of the Netherlands. Not on the first of may but on ascention day. (allways a thursday, 39 days after easter)

Regarding food, a good thing to note is that we also eat a lot of foreign food. Mostly dishes with rice, but also food influenced by our former colonies. But in terms of traditional foods the video is correct.

By watching the video I assume that she spent time with mostly university students. Classrooms over there can have people from all over Europe or even the world. While at a college you see that less often. So I think that's how she met up with people that happen to be more multilingual then the Average Dutchman.

@@sevendam9070 The average university graduate can speak fluently Dutch and English and some french/german. Spanish is thought only recently in most high schools. Other languages like Russian or Manderin are considerate rare and most Dutch (including me) will be impressed if you're born in the Netherlands and speak these languages fluently.
