Hey all, the video description has links to all the resources I referenced to learn Unity. I had a great experience with those, so check them out if you are interested.

Watched this as I always hear about unity but never looked into it. I prefer 2 games, specially making them so I’m not sure it’s for me, but it looks cool

I'm checking put BabylonJS - as a Unity dev with some pro Web dev experience, it feels like almost a perfect marriage! Being able to load in and view skinned and animated gltf files out of the box is mindblowing compared to what I'm used to for web game frameworks. I am wringing my fingers eviley thinking of the very-real prospect of creating a Blender py script to export a .gltf model while simutaneously generating a .ts file which would 1) load the model using BabylonJS and 2) wrap the model in an strict-typed object that would ensure I get autocomplete in typescript when searching for certain nodes (eg. Get the elbow transform in an arm rig, or find all spawn points), so my gameplay code doesn't have to have any magic strings, and my models and code can remain in-sync after renaming or restructuring my scene inside of Blender. The possibilities are vast

Cool man! Been using Unity for 3 years now. I like it because there are so many other people using it that I can always get help. Also, there are some great assets that help you do not only art, but extremely complicated code. Such as path finding or advanced top down controls.
