What I Learned Repurposing a Camera From 2009 (Canon EOS 500D/Rebel T1i)

In this video, I go through the steps and methods that I used to turn my 14 year old Canon EOS 500D (US:EOS Rebel T1i /JP: EOS Kiss X3) into a Web Camera.
In the first part of this video I go through how to setup the EOS Webcam Utility software for older Canon DSLR cameras.
The second part of this video mainly focuses on the Canon Exclusive firmware "Magic Lantern".

From what I've seen, it may become cumbersome. While it technically has filming capabilities, I don't see any support for it on the Magic Lantern site.

which experimental build did you use? Therewas quite a few to choose from on that list.

Just use the ones that correspond with your Camera model. Remember that some Canon cameras have multiple names depending on the location, so make sure you get the corresponding one.
