I honestly was done with super 7 and dispite my own feelings on the bad I get from S7, loose hips, not enough room in my collection, price points etc...I think I made my final decision on not collecting them off of what OTHERS disliked about them. I think you've made me rethink that.. Because everytime I'm shopping around the web I see this line and I'm always so impressed on the sculpts the horsemen have done and it's IMMEDIATELY warps me back to my childhood. I never had the biggest playmates collection growing up cause my auntie couldn't afford it between all the kids in the house, but goodwill came in clutch, my collection then mostly consisted of every figure missing every accessory even the belt and usually a forearm that was MIA, but I was so happy cause turtles was a big part of my life and will continue to be. I'm going to a local con Saturday and I will NOW be looking to add more S7 to my collection, at least at great deals and selective ones. Thanks for the video and reawakening my love for these sculpts. Keep collecting bro and you've gain a new sub.

@ThatBastardMann_Frankie the sculpts are absolutely the sell for me. After getting waves 5 & 6 after this video there definitely were some QC issues way worse than waves 1-4. But for me the good still outweighs the bad. That line meant so much to so many of us and the Horsemen did a perfect job of capturing all of the magic those figures had and somehow made it better. The nice thing about jumping back into this line is that you can get a ton of figures super cheap now too. Good for you for doing what you want and getting out of the group-think.

@georgekolar3131 thanks dude! Now the Super7 line is super easy to get into since you can get so many of the figures for way under retail and it's not nearly as expansive NECA. The NECA Toon line has become much easier to get as well but you definitely only need to go as deep as you want since there is sooooo many figures for that line.

Great video. I ended up going super7. Just wanted the turtles and Master Splinter... Now I have 12 and 6 more on pre order... I'm not small, so something a bit bigger sounded like it had a better chance of surviving me! I will have all 4 of the glow in the dark exclusive s when my NYCC Muckman and Joe Eyeball show up, and those guys are radioactive in a blacklight!! Great vid. I subbed!!

I was introduced to the NECA line first and dove head first into the line. The Super 7 stuff looks incredible and the size and detail is super impressive. I totally get why folks collect em but I specifically remember wishing my figs looked like the show I was constantly watching as a kid. The NECA toon line is exactly what I’ve always wanted. Problem is, I’m limited on space and we’re getting to like, 70 figs in the line with more to come and even more teased. This whole line is gonna end up taking an entire room😹 and that’s not even including the van and upcoming dioramas.

Congratulations for your great video! One of the best TMNT videos out there, from a different perspective. I started collecting TMNT figures only recently. Initially, I decided to go for Super7 but soon I thought getting NECA figures too would be really cool. I do not intend to form a huge collection: the four turtles, Bebop, Rocksteady and probably Shredder would suffice (yeah, I know, this might be just the beginning :) ). Although this is the best time to be a TMNT collector, I realized with great disappointment that, at the present moment, you can't actually buy Neca TMNT cartoon figures at reasonable prices. It seems that they are available mainly on eBay or other second markets, at prices that can go up to $180 per packet (pair of figures). Considering also the shipping and import cost to Europe, such prices are prohibiting :(

Thanks dude! I was definitely pretty rough when I started and it's not like my stuff now is great but I feel like I've come a long way. From everything I hear, NECA is not easy to collect internationally and that really sucks for you guys. The European collector scene seems to be pretty strong though. Try getting in some groups and you might be able to find some people to help you out.

Great video! Well said! I feel the same way--I love both lines for different reasons. I'm thankful that I can afford both, at least for now. :) Though I always connected with the toys more than the cartoon as a kid, so Super7's line is my favorite right now. I'm losing my mind over that Slash that's coming out later this year! I was waiting for him since wave 1.

Dude that new Slash is my #1 most anticipated figure I have preordered right now. I am also lucky enough to be in a position to be able to afford both, but I would quit almost everything else to stick with these two lines. I definitely have stronger with memories with the figures as well. I feel like I could take the adventure anywhere, I wasn't just bound to the TV.

I've already cut back on other lines to prioritize NECA and Super7 TMNT. Yeah, I loved how detailed and crazy the figures were compared to their more simple designs from the show. Except for the characters in the first five episode miniseries, I think they looked better in the toyline.

The Super 7 figures are pretty cool. It is nice to see the original figure designs fully realized. I think your example of SD VS HD is a very true comparison. The thing that hurts me is the price. It makes me just want to get the original figures I missed out on instead to save money. For NECA I am sticking with just the Movie, and Marge comics figures. If I go for the cartoon too I will be broke.

So I had to cut a ton of stuff out to keep the video from being 30 minutes long, but that’s something I wish I would have kept in. This stuff is expensive, and that’s why it’s cool we have so many lines, outside of these two as well. There’s so many ways to pick and choose and none of them are wrong as long as it makes you happy. I’m not in a typical situation for most people in their mid 30’s I live in a 2 income home and we have no kids so outside of student debt and house bills I don’t have many monthly payments. I’ve driven two vehicles in my entire life and if I had a vehicle payment right now, that would make it much more difficult to collect everything I do. Also, I plan to do a solo video for the movie figures. I feel like they are the most underrated figures for sure. I think those are the best figures NECA has ever made, with some exceptions. But to be fair, there’s always something wrong with April haha.

I just scored a set of Super7 Turtles, +Splinter, today for $180. Both sets, NECA and Super7, have cost me roughly $180 apiece, plus the $96 for Tokka/Rahzar coming later this year. I don't have NECA Splinter/Shredder, HamatoYoshi/OrokuSaki, Super Shredder, or the Foot Soldiers. Probably another $150 to complete that set.

Great review and encouraging words throughout the video! I also collect both lines, but I favor the SUPER7 one, just a tad bit more… Collecting isn’t cheap these days. So cherry picking is my only option right now. But I do have the first four waves of the SUPER7 line.

@@noyougrowup69 Yeah me too! I dialed back on Marvel Legends a little bit, and I’m also collecting the ThunderCats Ultimates line. But, I still favor TMNT over that as well. I’m speculating that Crome Dome might be a $80 figure? I believe they may scale him up a bit? I just received SLASH from wave 6. And he is AWESOME figure!

Playmates stopped super 7 from making figures off their molds for some reason. Which is cool and not cool. It's cool because now they have to do their own thing. Super 7 is making April o' Neil into a ninja. Not cool because they stopped them before they can make Panda Kahn. At least I think. I've checked everywhere for him no website has Panda Kahn.

@patrickmcgavin2245 for me it is just a straight up bummer. The magic of the Super7 line is the amazing Playmates molds brought up to date. To be honest, I don't really care for Super7's original stuff. It's all very sterile and bland to me.
