You’re advice of “always think what you can add instead of take away” has helped me so much. As someone who struggles with an eating disorder, go on keto every couple years for 3ish months at a time (mainly for weight loss and to reset my eating habits). @@Lechuza_Chicana I’ll do keto for 3ish months at a time and drop 30-35 pounds (25 male, I like to stay around 140). When you get off and start eating carbs again you’ll instantly gain 5 pounds (water weight). I can maintain weight fairly well, I just go back to my eating habits, when I get off I feel disgusted with myself for eating and beat myself up about it and eventually turns into I can’t stop eating. I’ll repeat this process every 2 or so years, done it 4 or 5 times so far. You do have to do your part to maintain it, can’t just go back to your old eating habits which is my problem. Also, sugar is one hell of a drug. High fructose corn syrup should be banned imo

If you struggle to get enough calories then using coconut products instead of dairy is a good way to add more. Coconut yogurt is really nice and goes with a lot of sweet and savoury dishes - the dried coconut milk powder also makes a good shelf-stable option especially if you just need it for coffee creamer for eg. Also cooking fruit before adding to smoothies etc or just snacking on it - less fibre due to the cooking process breaking it down so it's easier to eat more. Dried fruit is a good option if you need more fibre! Also snacks aimed at babies and toddlers (eg those little biscotti snacks) are generally higher calorie as babies and toddlers need more. They're also usually cheaper!

As someone who is pregnant and struggling with finding ways to add more good nutrition to my meals and praying my nausea stays away, this is genius!!! I’m definitely gonna try something like this!!!! ❤️

As someone who has a ‘toddler like’ diet dude to sensory issues, I love your videos. I always felt guilty for eating “like a kid” in my twenties and you’ve really helped me see that I can still eat stuff like Dino nuggets or macaroni and cheese.

I love your slogan!! My dear mom is also a (retired) nutritionist and hers is “Think about what the food brings to you, not what it doesn’t”, i.e. think about the nutrients it contains and forget about the low-fat, low-sugar, low-whatever versions of things. And the importance of enjoying your meals! 🩷 Thanks for spreading your message!

as a picky eater for 20 years now, this seems so manageable yet so filling! I can't pull myself to make meals, but this is something that I could make and that I also eat individually.. made me feel not so guilty for eating them in general once I seen them combined if that makes sense

“Always think about what you can add to a meal, rather than what you should take away”. These words stick with me every time I see one of these videos, and always springs into my head whenever I’m cooking. Extreme diets, fasting, whatever, always leads me back to bingeing at the first sign of frustration or stress. Kylie’s mantra actively reminds me to try to make things more healthy meals, even if some of the ingredients wouldn’t be traditionally seen as good for you. It’s all about creating a sustainable lifestyle

I eat these a lot, too! The gluten free ones : ) I have a lot of digestive issues and they’re really easy on the stomach with a little side salad and some fruit. Plus they’re fun and that always motivates me to eat!

Omg makes so much sense, Same girl same. I’m 25, and I do this too no shame in bringing your childhood foods to help your mental health. It’s like a dopamine. It’s soothing and comforting.

I justvreally love your perspective. Disordered eating is more common than people realize, and so much of it revolves around guilt or shame in what we are eating. Thank you so much letting people know they can things they like in ways that still provide good nutrition.
