EDIT: I had to cut the crafting bench section because that iteration is no longer coming at the start of Early Access. So the video kinda became 9 instead of 10 :D sorry! The announcement stream has been so crazy to watch as well, even more info than what we were subject to 2 weeks ago during the LA event. Not sure if I'm sold on every map mechanic being available at the same time, it will be interesting to see how that design choice plays out. In PoE1 if there's a mechanic you don't like, you aren't 'forced' to play it (unless occasionally in SSF), and you don't feel like you're left behind or missing out since most atlas mechanics have somewhat similar loot payouts. It might be hard tto balance when a player is running the one mechanic they enjoy, vs the min-maxer who runs every mechanic (even if they don't enjoy them) because its the most profitable thing to do. The FOMO while running a low-income mechanic you enjoy is never fun. Theres also that atlas 'strategies' are essentially gone, which I always thought was cool to plan out your atlas just like you would plan out your character build, but I get that it might not be for everyone.

Also the fact that you can't do the same map ( or that if you die you cant "unlock" that node anymore ) it's really confusing. Can anyone try to explain me a bit more about it? Thanks, ciao :)
@LucienZeroOneАй бұрын
I make this short. Yes it is like delve and infinit in all directions. There will be a fog of war and you have to find some watchtowers for better vision. You will find clues from npcs on the way about special points of interest (with some rare loot etc) and secrets on the way. Some areas are influenced by some factions ( like elder/shaper in poe long time ago) you can craft your waypoints (maps) and manipulate watchtowers (like sextants) and yes you can run each area only one time. If you win good go ahead or if you die find a new path.
