I always enjoy what you put up. Your videos demonstrate the intelligence that you possess! The One-Hundred-Year-Old Who Climbed Out a Window & Disappeared is something I saw on Dalkey Archive. I may have to check that one out, for that may have been one of the existential works I came across in their collection (unless I am mixing it up with a similar plot). Seeing Freud in a literary way is quite fascinating! Many scholars who look at works of literature psychologically are inspired by Freud's theories. Quite ironic, though, that a psychology major would be reading this for an English class. Perhaps you will come across this on multiple occasions. Great choices as always! -Josh

+Literary Gladiators That's so sweet of you to say! I have definitely learned that Freud discovered, or popularized, ways of looking at literature. The more I learn in this class the more I realize that he fits better in English/Humanities classes than he does the sciences.

+Thoughts in Books Psychology classes are when Freud is mentioned most, but psychological studies are definitely best applied to English/Humanities, because these are areas that are driven on human thought.

A Scanner Darkly would make for some good discussion. Shooting a video when people are around is so tense. Neighbors must think we're all crazy people.

+Let's Read For sure! I'm a justifiably crazy person now that people watch my videos :D

Have you ever read Mikhail Bulgakov's the Master and Margarita? If you like magical realism, some people consider that book to be the grandfather of the genre. It's also just amazing.

+Jeff Brassard I'm always on the search for magical realism, especially one that has stood the test of time. I'll have to check it out. I'm not at all surprised that it's a Russian book xD
