You should look into Green Pepper patterns, they have a lot of outdoor activewear patterns.

I used to make a lot of outdoor wear. I made a ski jacket in the 80's and it was beautiful but not windproof even though it was made of outdoor fabrics so it did not get as much wear as it could have. I am an avid skiier and although I love looking cute everywhere, the ski slopes are not the place I have been able to rock a cute look in some years..................I just love skiing so just want to be comfortable and have fun. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your ski suit and want one............wow. If we are able to ski next year I might just have to look into making another ski outfit. My most impressive make ever was sleeping bags...............there used to be a company called Frostline Kits and I got the kits for sleeping bags from them, also made two down jackets from the same company, those were also quite the projects. I do like making outdoor gear and you are so right that you really need to research the fabrics and make sure you have the right fabrics for the gear you are making.

I agree, skiwear has not been the most fashionable in the past. But the last couple of years has seen so many new brands and styles which really got me inspired to try something myself. Because I'm NOT gonna spend £1000's on something I will be wearing at most twice a year.

Omg I would loooove to see the process of this skii suit being made! This is the only video I have found of a home made skii suit and I am so thankful for it. I need to make my own because I want a similar fitted one and can't spend $1,000 to buy one! Also everything that has pants I have to buy 4 sizes too big and then take it in at the waist! The struggleeee!!! Ha ha Love this video! Just subbed!

Is there a list for the actual fabrics you used or where you found them? Really, any information about sportswear fabrics would be appreciated. New options are finally trickling down to the masses. I’d love to hear what you discovered.

Please list fabric name and source for the ski suit outdoor wear project. Which is fab. I was a ski patrol in Canada for 12 years and made a lot of skiwear for casual/ off duty or for underneath but I always had outerwear supplied because it was uniforms. I based most of it on princess cut and scuba and surf culture/diver wetsuit stylings. I even got married in a ski coat but it was a big purchase. Now that I’m more matronly i definitely have more needs for outerwear and your success and careful explanations has rekindled my interest and drive! Thank you, very well done!
