Congrats on getting through your last first week of school! Honestly I was also really apathetic toward school despite being high achieving, which kinda made me question all my previous life deciscions when I got to my last semester haha T.T But honestly I think it's ok to not be super passionate about your field, as long as it doesn't make you miserable. I like my job just enough to do it for the money and to take pride in the quality of my work, but I derive more fulfillment and happiness from the things I do for fun.

Have you ever been tested for ADHD? (I'm ADHD and I can relate to some of the stuff you said at the end of the video haha. Especially with the "all or nothing" interest level, which is something I've worked on for a long time so that I can enjoy things that aren't hyperfixations/special interests)

came to the comments to say this! i've been watching your videos for years and have been debating asking you whether you have adhd for the longest time ever. i truly relate with what you said about needing things to be super stimulating to be engaged in a specific activity; that's one of the things i face as someone with adhd! i can even sometimes sense my dopamine plummeting and i get antsy, so i have to fixate on something or try something new to get it up and keep myself happy.
