Continued prayers for Slayer! 🙏Yeah LD, as alcoholics we pick up these "trademarks" or we become known for certain behaviors. I did the water bottles with vodka too, sometimes gin, silver tequila, light rum, and I'm embarrassed to say, Sambuca! 😬I also became the guy that all the liquor store employees knew; we were all on a first-name basis. The staff would get my bottles ready as soon as they saw me walking in the door!🤦‍♂I was at the liquor store so often it was like I lived there. I should have had my own designated parking spot, lol. That's actually kind of sad when you think about it. Especially considering that they all know you have a huge problem even if they don't say anything to you. Many times I went in there drunk off my behind and reeking of booze, and I actually thought I could hide it from people, but everyone notices! I don't want to revisit those days ever again!!

Cousin Eddie - Randy Quaid is the actor. I love that whole "European" series. Chevy Chase is a pretty funny guy. I sent Slayer a message on his Short. He said he didn't relapse but was suffering from some health problems because of drinking. Health trouble can creep up on you even after you stop. Hopefully, he'll get better fast. I've done some concealing of the wine I used to drink. The lies we tell ourselves and others. Take it easy, L.D.

Sending good vibes for Slayer. I wwas on day ten of a hepatic coma, there were more then a dozen family and friends visiting me everyday. I guess they talked too me all the time. On thanksgiving day 11, i guess i woke up. I still don't remember the first week. After waking up.. that was 5 years ago. The doctor's were going to pull the pin on day 12. I believe that the folks that stayed by my side, saved my live. I have many health issue's now and am in pain 24\7. I drank vodka as well, on average about a 40 pounder every day. Don't do this to yourself.

I know all about the pain as well, I really hope that you are not in too much pain today. And I really hope that you aren't dealing with ascites, that's the absolute worst thing in the world! Hey, LD... we are all here for each other, and of course, my prayers will continue going up and going out to our friend. Been sending my best thoughts, warm wishes, love, and prayers since yesterday. This past week, I was playing catch up on the holidays and decorating my place as well as finalizing my holiday shopping. Normally, I'd sum up my thoughts on all of the videos that i just got caught up on, but the only truly inportant thing that I have to add to any if it is that loving an animal helps you to love yourself. When you have a dog, you are not allowed to sit in your $h!t. Your baby needs to go potty, and really, if you don't have a huge (safe) property for them, then you owe them at least one very satisfying walk daily. They want your attention, they need you love, and they give it right back 10 fold. Cats, too! I can see when squash is bored. He likes truly interactive play. He will play with toys on his own from time to time, but he prefers to play with an active participant. When I'm sad, he hugs my face and purrs. When I'm anxious, he doesn't leave my side. He's always down for an awesome cuddle, and he needs me to be just as interested in his well-being. Your animals force you to have quality of life because you owe them quality of life! Thank you for all of the reminders, LD. Thank you for being such a good human being, and thank you for listening to your wife and yourself when you took that time for yourself. All my love to you, yours, Slayer, and this whole community!! ❤❤❤❤❤

My identity I grew up with was literally a “patient” Never knowing I would become a patient. A patient who didn’t go anywhere without her pain meds. Nobody knew but me. Shame isolates us, keep us quiet, makes us irrational too among so many other things. That brother in law is my mom. Constantly a beer or wine. Easy to hide a glass of wine. She embarrassed my brother & I as adults to the point where jaws hit the floor.

I once drank a whole bottle of straight vermouth one night because it was the only alcohol left in the kitchen and it was too late to go buy more. It tasted wretched, but I drank it all. One of my personal low points.

I think he's just trying to keep us from ending up having to learn lessons the hard way like he did..if he can save one person from diabetes, end stage cirrhosis and anything else, it's worth it to him...im super grateful, I know it's worth it to me..
