Turn to Jesus He loves you, He is the healer of the body And savior of the soul, There is True Hope in Jesus, God protects Psalms 91, He is the God of miracles Acts 2:21 And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved Jesus alone saves Trust Him with your salvation John 3:16 1 Corinthians 15 1-4 Moreover Brethren, i declare unto you the gospel which i preached unto you, which also ye have received, and with wherein ye stand By which also ye are saved, if you keep in memory what i preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain, For i delivered unto you first of all that which i also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures And that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures, Take care

I live in North Carolina my wife had all the symptoms that you were talking about. It’s just that hers happened within a couple of months went from being OK to having a liver transplant. She had her transplant at Duke University hospital. The transplant was successful, but she still has complications. She hast to take 70 odd pills a day, but I thank God every day for the donor and the surgeons for saving my wife’s life.

In the final stages of my alcoholism, I was mixing 151 proof Bacardi with 100 proof vodka and Boones farm on an empty stomach. I was losing my internal organs. Liver enzymes were out of sight high. A DUI forced me to stop. I had to take Antabuse. Now, I've been totally sober for nearly 21 years. My body has healed. I'm so thankful there's no alcohol, tobacco, marijuana or caffeine in my body. Healthy food, cold water, exercise, and wholesome living. Thank God.

Your story then, in those awful, horrifying, terrifying days, and your story now are such a COURAGEOUS testament to the human spirit. Thank you & God bless you for sharing. 🙏 I could see the sadness in your eyes right before your daughter came in and it just touches my heart your willingness to share yourself and your story to others so that hopefully they may not have to suffer like you have. I think alcohol is the worst, most insidious drug in our society. It is made to appear so “cool” and “harmless” and necessary for a good time. Nothing could be further from the truth. It’s all lies and it’s harmed, and continues to harm so many. I’m so proud of you - I can see how when you think back to your addiction and how you had to force the poison down even when your body was telling you no - it makes you sad. It’s such a dark place that you ESCAPED from and for that reason ALONE, you should be SO PROUD of yourself! No matter what tomorrow brings your way, you escaped the demon that is alcohol. Praise God and may He bless you and keep you! And your family as well. 🙌🙏❤️✝️

Even after his hospitalization the first time. He fought me on taking meds and anything to help him. He died 7 weeks after his diagnosis. You’re very lucky to be alive and the Lord has for sure spared you to spread your story. I comment on your posts all the time so people can see that death is a real possibility. I’m grateful for you.

My daughter began throwing up blood suddenly, had 17 bags of blood transfusions. Surgery to stop bleeding. ICU a week. Passed away. They didn’t tell me at the time, they were really just preserving her because she was an organ donor. Month prior, Dr said 3 months to live. She gave a blind person sight & two people each a kidney. I miss her so much. I pray everyone knows Jesus as Savior! She & I were granted prayer together before they intubated her. That was Jesus, because it was seriously an absolute miracle they even let me in there! I know now she’s in heaven, and that really is a blessing to know without doubt where she is now until we meet again! Thank you for sharing & I pray you help many people survive & you are healed completely

@@liverdisease-qb6rk ive been following you i think for almost a year. You were the first one i came across that was open and raw about it. I respect that. Ever see the movie, 28 days with Sandra Bullock. That was me lol the party part. My sickness is always. Thats another reson they say once an alcoholic always alcoholic. Sickness stays foever till you die and one day at a time is everything can flip on a dime... regardless its with you for life and is very frowned upon. The dr told me its rising and will probably be the next number one 1 killer and cancer the second. You can get it in so many different ways. Some days i dont know if im living or am i dieing. I find that the more you smile people think you are healed or its gone. Since that day i almost died and for that 2 weeks in the hospital and two weeks in rehabilitation to learn to walk again and to get my levels somewhat right. It has never left my mind. Everytime i get just regular sick i worry im getting closer to goodbyes. So once a again, i pray, i smile, do what my body tells me to do and follow a strict diet. Im lucky yo be a hundred pounds my muscles are gone. I cant work again and eben though i have two dr letters that i cant and a very heavy file disability said no. I can stand and i can sit therefore im not disabled. I cant drive so i no more have a car. Theres just no help for.people like us. Thats why i am so grateful you have come into my life as well as others that just love this channel. Bless you everyone and always count your blessing and always keep the faith! I am a nurse and once caught the brand new DON in my arms as she went into a grand Mal seizure from alcohol withdrawal. Then I had to terminate her a little later for drinking on the job. LD, while this hurts me deeply, knowing how much you have and are suffering from this, it still amazes me what the body can endure. You have been intentionally saved(literally)to bring awareness and possibly to save someone else's life through your experience. What a gift you have been given! The struggle is real. I, for one, have been enlightened to the impact alcohol has on the human body, but the will to live through this is even stronger. We all love you so much LD. i remember those first few days of sobriety, starting back on december 11/23, and up to this point, even though i had been drinking 15 beers/day for years (prob 15 years in total, with a 2 year break of sobriety), i had no visible symptoms, like the ones you discuss here LD. however, during those first days, and i don't know if it was my reduced mental capacity from withdrawal, but i thought i had many symptoms. it turns out, after a visit to my doctor and lab work, my paranoid self-diagnoses turned out to be all for naught. i am thankful. i would like to add though, for months leading up to dec 11/23, i had made the decision to drink myself to my final end. had not whatever gave me the 'something' to quit on that dec 11/23 day, i suspect, if i had a YT channel, and had i not gone on to my final end, i would be sitting in front of a camera and recording a video much like yours here LD, eventually. it was also in those first few days that i came across your initial video, from march of 2023. you are impactful here, LD. i sometimes mind-wander, and wonder what it would feel like to have thousands of eyes on me, rooting for me (and each other), like you have here with us. it must be an amazing feeling and privilege. i have never been on any channel where community engagement is so high. and yup, i'm the MOD, man! see you saturday.

Hey LD your story is such an important one that depicts the damage alcohol can do to our bodies when used in excess. I’m so sorry you and your family went through all of that. And continue to. The more stories I hear from others on this channel I’m understanding that there really isn’t any way to know what a “safe” limit is. It infuriates me that alcohol is still very glamorous. Why?? Do they not see the catastrophic effects it has in our society. I hope that one day that changes, it won’t be in this lifetime maybe the next generation gets it right. I’m sending you healing energy that you continue to get better LD. I know today will be a better day. I care for you very much. You’re an amazing person. 💜

I hope you quit soon! I have never been an alcoholic and I understand its like the worst addiction someone can have. I was addicted to all kinds of drugs for 15 years. Quit heroin/opioids 7 years ago and cocaine/crack a little over 3 years ago. I am just now noticing getting my life back mentally but healthwise, Seems to be in decline. Wish I could kick the 23 year old me in the ass. All the chioces we make when we are young, influence how long we have on this Earth. Take care of that fatty liver!

I was told I have fatty liver after a scan of my organs, but then my primary doctor didn’t make any fuss about it. It was still enough to scare me. I drank a lot 16-30 years old. Typical binge drinking with friends every weekend but it adds up. FF to present day, I’m 42, I’ve put on like 50 extra pounds in the last 10 years. That’s when I was told about the fatty liver. I’m now on semaglutide, eating less, making better food choices, losing weight, drinking more water etc. Hoping that fixes the fatty liver, as well as high cholesterol.

I could be mistaken, but it sounds like you were experiencing reverse tolerance. I guess it's when your liver/other organs are so messed up that your body begins to reject alcohol, and even tiny amounts make you really sick. Either way, that's definitely a huge red flag. I feel lucky because I gave up alcohol before I reached that point. If I kept going I would eventually be in the same situation. Your right about the denial though, we as alcoholics want to believe that everything is fine when clearly it's not!

The liver can only tolerate about 6 grams of sugar per day without overload. Sugars from food. Alcohol converts to sugar. Once the liver suffers damage it's unable to process even less. You must also stop all processed sugars and glutens to relieve the load. I drank alcohol on rare occasion but felt really sick and am not diabetic nor grossly overweight but had a lot of symptoms including a whole body Candida. I stopped all processed sugar, gluten, and keep my whole food sugars to less than 6 grams and it got me off of 6 medications and I feel 20 years younger than 62.

The liver is resilient. But there is a point of no return. New to the channel so forgive me if you have talked about what trauma led you to the drinking? As we all know, alcohol and drugs are used for self-medicating. Typically, some kind of trauma creates a mental malfunction, such as depression or anxiety from a childhood trauma. Job stress can do it. In my case it was a combination of both childhood abuse and then a brutal 1st marriage. But with God's help, I'm still here at 66. Please don't give up.

I've had vomiting for years... several exploratory surgeries when I was younger, but I don't drink. I was given medications, etc.yet nothing worked, and many medications made it worse. Many years later, I was diagnosed as an MZ Alpha-1, and suspect we need to check for Hemochromatosis as well, but doctors simply don't listen, and sadly, many don't care... I'm hoping to see an Alpha-1 specialist soon, with yet another new doctor. I hope this one is better. If not, I give up on the medical profession, unless it's a last ditch effort, pain or whatever. I'm on my own either way if this next doctor doesn't work out. I'm pretty fed up with the horrific treatment I've had in the medical industry. I have family who have already for all intents and purposes have quit going to doctors. This last go-around a few weeks ago, I had liver failure. I was given Tamiflu, and they're telling me that is what set it off. They could've checked and spared me the near-death experience. I'm angry and certainly cannot trust that office, not the ER again... Long story, but scary experience. I'm so sorry that you've been through such a horrific ordeal. 😢 I've been through the mill, too, just for different reasons. Seeing my hands turn blue and thinking I've never going home is one heck of an experience. I'm still not back to normal. I, too was transferred twice (3 hospitals total) when all this happened. Thank you for being brave enough to put your story online. Most people don't have a clue what bouncing in and out of hospitals, being so sick, and being ignored is like. It's comforting to hear someone talk about this stuff. Most "normies" people can't handle this stuff. It's lonely when you don't have people to share these things with. I'm still hurting from all the phlebotomy, the IVs, & the throwing up. All the best! Thank you! ❤️ It's good to not be alone with this.

Hi LD, sorry to hear you're feeling poorly. I just wanted to say hello from Ireland and a big thanks for your remarkable candour and courage to tell your story. Your videos, as well as some soul seaching on my part led me to see my doctor this week who agreed to prescribe me naltrexone. I've spent months going back and forth on what relationship I want with alcohol, but this week I said enough is enough. I too was getting that dull RUQ pain you described after drinking or eating a fatty meal for several years now. It freaked me out, although admittedly not enough to stop drinking as you described in your video. I'd read that dull RUQ pain can be due to gall stones or pancreatitis, but I had an abdominal ultrasound two years ago just after I started getting the pain, which showed my gall bladder and pancreas looked normal. A few months before I started getting the pain, blood tests showed elevated AST/ALT/GGT liver enzymes so I had something called a "FibroScan" which is a non-invasive alternative to a liver biopsy that measures the stiffness of your liver, as liver stiffness can indicate inflammation or fibrosis/cirrhosis. There was no scarring or fibrosis, but I was diagnosed with NAFLD. My Hepatololgist explained a few months later that the pain probably isn't coming from the liver itself, as it has no pain receptors, but instead may be coming from the "Glisson's Capsule" which is the the membrane that envelopes the liver and can get stretched as the liver enlarges from inflammation. There is intergenerational history of alcoholism in my family, and I don't want to cut my life short by 20 years like what happened with my Dad and grandfather who died before I was born. I'm nearing 40 years of age and I'm sick of always worrying about what my alcohol consumption is doing to my body. It won't be easy quitting, as I'm living in Ireland, where there's a strong cultural expectation to drink at social occasions, to the extent that if you're not drinking, you're viewed with suspicion and people assume you're either pregnant or alcoholic, so that stigma and feeling of exclusion is quite powerful. Even still, I'm hoping Naltrexone will lessen my interest in Alcohol and break the psychological association I've made between alcohol and being relaxed, although I had already noticed before I was prescribed it that I didn't even enjoy being drunk any more. I was drinking mechanically and ritually, just medicating the cravings at this point. I've noticed some side effects like nausea and low mood/irritability which can be caused by its slightly stimulatory effects on Kappa opioid receptors in the brain so finger crossed I can overcome those and take it long-term!

Please stop drinking. You have a chance to live. My husband ignored the fatty liver diagnosis in 2019 and continued drinking and “treating” symptoms with over the counter meds. It was to late for him and he died but it’s NOT to late for you. Please continue to watch these videos and do the work for your sobriety!! I pray for you.

I realized alcohol is the norm in Ireland. But put yourself first. Do whatever you need to take care of you and get you off the drink. Try yoga or mindfulness or exercise. If the drinkers are sus of you so be it. Tell them you are on health programme. Or avoid them after all what are you missing. A load of people pouring a drug down there gullet. Good luck Stay safe.
