Have a safe trip the rest of the way home Steve. A few years ago i attended Andrew’s gear school at his shop in Ventura. It was amazing. Then i went to the Bash. I agree what a huge undertaking and i really appreciate Stan making it happen every year. You picked up some really nice additions to your shop! Take care and say hello to Don, Norm in Arizona

At 1:05, can you put together a video on setting up and using the right angle milling adapter? I have looked for and not found a video doing work with this adapter. maybe 2-3 different ideas about cutting, grinding, what ever you could think of. TKS Steve, John

I’d kill for that Pratt - Burnered Atlas Collet Chuck Steve if no one else has put their hand up for it? I just priced one new here downunder from their agents who sell Colchester here & with freight & 10% GST (Goods & Service Tax) it topped out at $🇦🇺4.4K 😳😳🙄 My lathe takes D1-5 back plate, but I’ll either just buy or make one to suit that Chuck if you’ll be kind enough to sell it to me please?

This is a Hardinge- Sjogren Speed Collet Chuck that uses 2J collets.. Are you sure that is what you want??

@@10swatkins Ahh no I honestly don’t know Steve. I’m just new at this hobby & thought it looked like the Pratt Burnered Atlas Collet Chuck I priced. At $4.4K I sure won’t be buying one of those new any time soon. It’s almost half what I paid for my new lathe - so can’t justify that sort of expense sadly. I’m guessing a new $500 Chinese Collet Chuck is in my future most likely.

@@ianmoone2359 That's fine... Being new to the hobby I think you might not need a collet chuck just yet... Do you not have a 3 and 4 jaw chuck? That is really all you need at first.. Hell I went 30 years before I ever needed a collet chuck and that was for a really special need...

@@10swatkins Yes new 14 x 40 lathe came with 8 inch 3 & 4 jaw chucks & face plate, fixed & travelling steady rests etc. At $4.4K for the Pratt Burnered Atlas it’s likely gonna be 30 years before I can afford one of them & im 65 already so likely long after I’m dead. I think I will just go with a cheapie Chinese scroll collet Chuck off Evilbay for $600 for now will likely do me & at least I’ll have it the day I need it. 👍
