Great video and song too. Im a flight crew, since I coming to retirement of my flying career I love going on solo trips or sometimes with my wife during layover in places like Japan. I love the drone shots too.

Being an introvert I mostly travel alone (including to Nikko back in 2012) -it gives me maximum (personal) space and flexibility. But in recent years I have travelled with friends/family for the same reasons you mentioned: to have someone to share your feelings, and the fun/excitement of the trip! And this is a nicely done video, Shukei! Can I expect for another edition with some drone footage? 🙃

I'd love to go to Nikko sometime! I do like to solo travel because I get to be more contemplative and it's easier to schedule things since it's just me, but I also have way more fun travelling with other people since I'm more willing to go out of my comfort zone when I'm with others.

That frozen waterfall is gorgeous! I’ve never seen anything like it! Found your Twitter while looking for tourism info for Japan, and I subscribed to your channel instantly - your videos of wanting to explore more obscure (yet just as beautiful) places really resonates with me. The last time I was in Japan was January 2020, but solo travelled in 2017, so I hope to visit again as an individual tourist really soon! Great video, Shukei! I love solo traveling personally, as it is a great way to get to know yourself and really get absorbed in the nature around you. However, I do love traveling with others, too! It's also good to share the experience with someone. Both styles have their advantages! By the way, that shot of the frozen Kegon Falls was masterful! Loved it. Keep it up!

Great video! I plan to go there in october. What are the drone rules in the area? i saw that you made some shots in the city, but what about the waterfall? Was there a specific permission required to fly there?

Sorry for my late reply! I'd say you need a permission to fly a drone at Kegon falls because it's a private facility. I'd recommend you send an e-mail to the administrator in advance!
