Maya THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!!!! I've been hunting around for gear/setups/techniques to improve my own videos and this video (and many of your other Tech Tuesday features, as well) illuminates things so well for me. I have a 7D as well, and limited available shooting light, so at your suggestion I picked up the LED panel, the light kit, the double socket mount, and some larger bulbs thru your store. Can't wait to have everything here and play around! Thanks again!

i think they're both the same...lacie is so much more expensive. unless you work with pro level camera gear and programs you don't need a lacie. I've had my seagates for YEARS and have had zero problems :)

Thank you for good information! I'm just to start up myself... so thank you for all your tips! By the way, get double backups... You can get a NAS or similar, and connect it to a pc in a different location. Like at your parents house or something, and mirror your files there. I have messed up like 3 harddrives so far. Backup and different location is key.

I loved this girl! I graduated an audio engineer and the Mic on the iPhones have a nice compression and slow delay so it gives a nice roomy sound and you don't hear a lot of white noise! I have other mic's but it's convenient to just do voice overs with my phone! And for head phones, THE MOST important for me because sound is everything! Loved this video! Gonna go buy that beanie and I love ya! #Shameless

just a tip for light bulbs: its the lumen output that gives u the brighter light not the wattage. The wattage is the amount of energy used.

I actually have the 24-70mm F/2.8 L Version II which is closer to 2.3K. It doesn't get a lot of usage compared to my 100mm and 50mm F/1.2 L. Then again I use these lenses for Photography and not Videography on my 5D Mark III. Love your sweater by the way.

Hey Maya! Can you please do a photography video again? Shooting manual as the subject and actually show yourself shooting. When I leave for my new job next year ill be out to sea for 4-6 months at a time so I have to upgrade my laptop for better editing systems, sturdy tripods, wind screens, gotta get a ring light and everything so this really helps me. Oh if you couldn't tell I do youtube vids too and love it

Great video. One thing, I wouldn't say that a CFL bulb is the closest to natural light, which contains the full spectrum frequencies of visible light. Halogen bulbs produce light over a greater range of the visible light spectrum but nothing beats natural light.
