I am praying for your little girl and hope everything goes well. Sometimes the path in our lives is not a straight line, we have to pivot and go sideways. Changing your flower operation now to revolve around your little girl is the most logical and loving strategy you can follow. Good food equals better health. Once this threat is mitigated, you can resume having learned invaluable lessons. God be with you all!

I’ve been seeing some good things about spirulina, it needs to be dried at a low temperature so it doesn’t loose its nutrient value, but it could be helpful for your daughter. Of course, look into it yourself, just sharing what I can.

Jess, I live in Buffalo, NY. We are having similar weather. You are a bit warmer. I'm waiting to put in tulip bulbs. I was told tulip fire can take hold in warmer soil temperatures. I will be continue to praying on remembrance for E's healing journey. Satisfying work cleaning up from your labors. 🎉 I started food waist berrying and the soil has turned almost black and rich. Thanks for sharing all your experiences and knowledge❤

Regarding your deer issue, you might want to try putting an electric fence outside of your existing fence. Maybe a couple of feet out... Maybe allow for a lawnmower to pass between the two. We have significant deer problems up here in New Brunswick, Canada. A single strand of electric fence about 2.5 to 3 feet high has been very effective for many years here in my large gardens ... without any other fencing. I enjoyed your late season tour with tips on what worked and what didn't.

Loved the field tour- thanks for the video! I'm excited for the food in the future too! Know you are doing everything you can for your precious daughter and I'm praying for her! what sale outlet do you think does well for daffodils? I have space for them, but didn't think I wanted to add it to my subscriptions- I don't love a straight bunch of daffs as I do tulips, and when picked to sell in the gooseneck stage, they might not be appealing to market customers...?

In my first two years, I stayed away from daffodils thinking they had a terrible vase life. Then I realized they can have a 5-7 day vase life depending on variety and when you harvest. My thoughts are 1) in straight daffodils bunches with a couple of varieties, they are very appealing since specialty varieties don’t look like the common daffodils 2) if you can get prechilled tulips to bloom earlier and hold some daffs, you can make mixed bouquets! If I can manage it, I’ll do a video on this

Great info as always! Deers are beautiful but quite annoying! My oldest has a feeding tube as well and I have not ventured into making our own food for her but I can totally understand why you would want to do it. Are you thinking of using a Vitamix blender? After years of replacing subpar blenders, we took the plunge 2 years ago to buy a vitamix. Both vitamix and blendtec are considered the only blenders powerful enough to make blenderized tube feedings. Eric makes a smoothie everyday and now we find ourselves using the vitamix at least twice a day! E did not tolerate the formula well. I think given enough time she could have adjusted but we transitioned 3 days into tube feeding to a blenderized tube diet. I figured we could cram a ton of food that she (and frankly) adults wouldn’t eat into the tube. I genuinely think it’s making a difference! If I continue to see lab results improving, I’ll share what I’m doing, but right now I’m waiting for more data points 🤓
