What I've Been Warming & Empties: Week 4

It's very much still Winter here in New England so I use January to warm a lot of fresh/clean scents. I also keep my Winterberry Apple Tea bars from my club throughout the year and warm all 4 bars in January. I started that a couple of years ago and I love having a dedicated month for a particular scent. It makes me look forward to that month and forces me to use those bars as I know I won't be using them for another year! ♥

I love that idea! I didn’t get around to warming Winterberry Apple Tea like I thought I was this month. I have it set aside for February now because I enjoy that scent a lot.

Best holiday movie, Christmas vacation (well, top 3). Nice warming, Martha! St snickerdoodle is great! Stays in my club, unless a vendor can do it better … No back ups here … when it’s gone it’s gone unless it comes back. Fingers crossed, Second and Spruce NEVER gets rid of Christmas Mug …. My blocks from SGA in Christmas at Santa's were great and strong. Oath I barely could smell the blocks but will try again in my bedroom this time.

I think I have a few scents in blocks from SGA and I don’t think I’ve warmed any. I don’t know why. I should add a few to my upcoming February basket. Interesting how different scents work.

That’s a bummer. Scents are so hard as we all pick up different things. I will be completely nose blind at my house and someone will come over and say it smells like bakery when I haven’t warmed anything 😂

Martha - I absolutely love watching your videos! You're one of my faves and the reason I have stepped my toes into vendor wax. I'm finding out that I don't have to keep a million bars in my Scentsy Club - there is usually a vendor wax that is just as good as a certain bar I clubbed, or even better. Love, love, LOVE that. St. Snickerdoodle gives me a sour note that I cannot get past. I haven't heard anyone else say that, so either it's just me or I got a funky bar. I am looking SO forward to the preorders this month, especially Teddy Bee's (I got some from a previous RTS but this will be my first preorder!) and Second & Spruce (same situation, blown away by some RTS I bought and this will be my first preorder). What do you think of Salt Mountain Melts, Swanky, and Britta's Creepy Treasures? I haven't tried them yet, but they are on my radar. I also love Rose Girls and Scoopable Wax (I am foaming over the Beach Nights/3 Cakes blend they have). Also love Sassy Girl Aroma, Harper James, and The Pharmacist's Daughter. I have one chunk loaf from SGA so thanks for that tip about the microwave - will definitely try that out before chopping. I have really enjoyed chopping TB's and S&S - their wax is like buttah!

Hi Terry! Thank SO MUCH for the kind words. I appreciate it and love hearing that you love my videos. You made my week! I am guilty of getting a few people to dip their toes into vendor wax and how amazing is that! I will never look back. Scentsy has a place but so does vendor wax. It's just another vendor to me. Tiffany just posted the Teddy Bee's list. I think I've narrowed it down to 13 scents. Things could change after I talk it through during out YT Live tomorrow night. I have only tried a few scents from SMM - literally just a few but her wax is soft and it performed for me, so I want to try some. I appreciate that the list is small and manageable. Britta's is also newer to me and has performed well for me, too, but I've only warmed her wax in the bedrooms because those are the type of scents that I bought. I've heard great things about Swanky's but I'm doing my best to control how many vendors I buy from at any given time since I have so much right now. Someday I hope to try Swanky's. The Pharmacist's Daughter performs fantastic for me. Harper James is decent. Let's face it, I love all the vendors you mentioned. I have so much Rose Girls and SGA that I plan to do no buys for a while until I use more of what I have. I just recorded my February Melting basket and you will see I put a lot of RG and SGA to melt in February (that video will be up on Monday). The vendor wax rabbit hole is wide and deep. My advice is to pace yourself 😉 But I know how hard it is when you are in discovery mode. Have a great evening!

I've got limited experience with Rose Girls, but from what I have tried, the norm seems to be that they throw very strong for the first 2-3 hours, but by 4 hours they have fizzled out completely.

For bakery that sounds about right but I've had some with lavender or non bakery ones that last a long long time. Also depends on where I warm it. I just could not stay away from her preorders last Fall. This year I'm not planning on buying any if I can help it. I just have so much and want to try a few new vendors

I've never ordered from Swanky so I don't know what I'm missing. I've heard great things but sometimes ignorance is bliss when it comes to wax but even without Swanky it's going to be tough. All my orders will be much smaller than what I did in the Fall...that was too much for me

That makes total sense. I feel vendors are pretty good about bringing popular scents back and many are open to suggestions. I may buy two bags of something if it comes in a smaller size but I have so much wax that I enjoy that I don't typically feel the need to have a back up on hand.

I only have 1 SND in my quarterly and i am out and been out 😢 Sooo they should have brought that back instead of Make me SD! I’m still waiting on 3 BBMB and a regular 6 pk order from the 18th 😮 All my flash sales, a club and another order have all shipped 😢😂 What’s up with that!? Ugh was hoping to have those 3 BBMB before Jan 31.

I hate when that happens. I placed a group order from the Flash sale for my friends and that came fast too. I was shocked. SND is so much better - I don't understand the decision to not bring that back and give us Make Me Snickerdoodle instead. 🙄

I’ve been good for two months as well - well almost I did close out a Scentsy party and ordered a few bars but I’ve been pretty good. Next month will be a test. I’ll be buying just not going overboard like I’ve done it the past. Good luck!
