It all depends on what part of CR you are going to , but you really do not need a guide in most of the country to see a sloth .

@@asregdor3386 ha we went to lafortuna and paid for the sloth tour, and I don’t think we would’ve seen any of those slots without a guide. They almost look part of the tree. Sam had green algae on them. I got a great video on my KZbin channel if you want to check it out.

@@plane1880 Well if you ever come back for a visit , I would recommend checking out the Caribbean side as well . If you do I own a small boutique hotel near Puerto Viejo called Casa Moabi . An 8 minute walk to the beautiful Playa Chiquita , we are set back in a jungle setting and surrounded by plenty of wild life .
