"This movie would probably mean everything to me if I had a brother" This may be true, Darjeeling is one of my favorite Wes Anderson movies because of how well it mirrors so many things about me and my two brothers. The small details in their relationship hit so close to home when I watched it together with both of them and all three of us loved it. The part where Owen Wilson orders for all three of them and Adrian Brody gets upset about it only to order exactly what Owen's character ordered anyway while Jason's character just sits in silence. I cannot tell you how accurate these things were for us and how awesome it made watching the movie with them. A truly special memory for me. Owen's character had so many elements of my older brother, Adrian mirrored me very well while Jason was a lot like my younger brother. That movie really understood the roles of eldest, middle and youngest so wonderfully.

there are obviously some differences w how spanish forms but a non-native speaker is never going to fully grasp that so i respect it (eg. at 2:27 dark is translated to oscura very literally - in spanish in the context it's more like sombrío or morboso)

I also watched puss and boots and freaking loved it- joined the ranks of my favorite animated movies of all time and there needs to be an award for voice acting solely so we can give it to wagner moura- Lobo was freaking terrifying. I also watched Nope, Triangle of sadness(loved both), and regrettably daisy jones and the six- which had about as much flavor as a boiled chicken breast. The music really was the only substance and even then still struck me as a cash grab. Also started The Boys and man are the people who do SFX booked and busy- that shit is REAL NASTY. And ended it off with narcos for the second time so I could experience more wagner and um yanno pedro too

Not just the fact that the translations are correct (despite 1 or 2 instances where an expression is translated literally even if it doesn't have the same meaning in both languages), but also the variety of the vocabulary. Believe me: That's not so easy to achieve... in any language. As for the movies: 2/5 "Puss in Boots 2: The Last Wish" 3/5 "In the Bedroom" "Amélie" "Somewhere" "Tár" 4.5/5 "Titane"
