Liked before I watched...can you do a video of how to feel comfortable in your style especially when where you live isn't very fashionable...I live in Minnesota and everyone pretty much dresses the same..I don't like a lot of attention but my style would be considered "loud" if I dressed how I truly feel.

Great q. I fouundfor myself on the last 5 years that i had to work on it a bit at a time. i added new items to my wordrobe and my everyday looks one by one, got used to it and kept going on from there. I had to put my own judgmental thoughts about clothes and how people will look at me . I had just closed the door behind me and wore my sunnies on, in order to keep my head up and straight - from there i got better at it. I hope it helps.

Hi! I sort of feel in a similar way after a very long time I have been hiding in my clothes for many reasons...so I think that what others have already stated makes sense, maybe to take it in babysteps, so that WE get used to seeing ourselves as we feel inside, more and more...the more we can own the look and pull it off, the more it will seem natural...and I think it the best way is probably to incorporate it gradually...a little at a time...best wishes in expressing yourself!

Cate's character Lou in Ocean's 8 was a fantastic style inspiration! You've got to watch it just for that. She wears this one powder blue suit I just loved. Lots of leathers and velvet hearkening the glory days of the 70s ala Yves Saint Laurent and Betty Catroux.

Burberry made special suits for Cate and her Met look ( an archival piece) was tailored just for her and the film based on Cate's relationship with design house Givenchy.

I had a blazer almost identical to the black and yellow one back in the 70's only it was shorter. I have a picture somewhere. I wore it with burgundy pants that were extremely wide and a yellow crochet top. Loved that blazer.

I was right with you until Sunday's outfit, which seems politically tone deaf. Combat boots + camo pants + an old Colonel Reb tee, really? University of Mississippi replaced him as mascot years ago because of the image of a glorified racist old south he represented. Paired with the rest of the outfit it feels like you're about to grab a tiki torch and start marching. Obviously I don't know your political views but seems unlikely that you'd be intentionally protecting that image, so heads up that you might want to rethink the shirt.
