Hands down the best episode yet. Infinity Ultron is so dope, sad his voice actor isn’t the same as in AOU. But still great episode and I love how Watcher is just panicing the whole episode, you know Ultron is now the most dangerous threat (more than Thanos and even Kang) when even this guy is just scared.

The watcher sees all things at the same time. The way he perceives time is different from how we perceive it. Which is why he can be seeing the party Thor episode at the same time he sees the Ultron episode

i felt the same way the whole time, what a gnarly episode - this is the one where every scene felt like comic book panels brought to life i was confused about the end of Party Thor too. maybe he saw that happen in Party Thor and thought he was able to tell us Ultron’s story without Ultron breaking reality and spacetime to enter the Watcher’s ream? i dunno, hope you guys are taking care!

Madison and I talked about it off camera and we agreed maybe the watcher is kinda like a 4th dimensional being. Meaning he sees everything happening at once. He even told us in this episode that he "has seen everything that could ever happen." So my theory is he was wrapping up his telling of the party Thor story to us the viewers. But then all of a sudden the ending of the story changed because Ultron showed up and that surprised him. That's our best guess anyway, hope you're doing well too!

Just adding to that, the part when ultron first breaks into whatever realm the watcher is in, he says “I FINALLY found you”. Begs to question how long it took for ultron to find this realm, and how time works from the watchers perspective too! Love you guys reaction! Look forward to your insights on so many shows ^^

*statement from an unknown youtube user* The Watcher exists outside of time and is Omni-Present which means he observes multiple timelines at the same time. This is partly why he was surprised by Ultron (in the last episode), who had by that point attained a similar state of being to the Watcher and told him he would find him. This should not be possible, but it appears the stones have allowed Ultron's already incredible mind to evolve even further. Remember the watcher talks about these episodes in the past tense at the beginning of every single one, and then as the episode progresses he can change to present tense and sometimes he states future inevitability. Our general perception of time doesn't apply to him and now Ultron. I think the next episode will also add more clarity

When Thanos arrived he was off guard, however, he observed the stones and was able to read(if this makes sense) what they were. Thanos used a gauntlet, but the fact that ultron made a full suit showed he was smarter. Unlike the gauntlet the avengers couldn't simply prevent his fist from closing or take it off

I hadn't noticed it until your guys reaction video, but Jeremy Renner is a lefty and as such, portrays Hawkeye as a lefty as well. I went back and checked the other "What If" episodes and he's shooting left in those as well. It makes sense that he'd shoot with his right arm in this one since that would naturally have a greater draw strength being a metal one, but it's interesting that it's his right arm that is the metal one at all. Like was it a conscious decision on the writer's part or what?

Yeah in the comics The Watchers don't throw hands really. They just use their cosmic powers to fuck you up, and that power is formidable considering the Watchers have been at war with the Celestials for eons, the Celestials being easily complex multiversal level beings, even the weakest nameless ones.

14:39@MAC React, I wouldn't worry too much about how they portrayed Uatu's narrating last week, as there really isn't a way they could have told that story without spoiling this one. While everyone in the Multiverse is a variant of themselves, as explained in Loki, there is only one Uatu, and he's like He Who Remains, in that he's outside of reality watching the Multiverse from afar. Like He Who Remains, Uatu can see the past, present and future across the Multiverse; he's seen it all, and he knows it all, to borrow a line from He Who Remains =P The difference here is that Uatu, stayed out of the affairs of all universes...until now. If last week's story was the present, this week's story was the present. Next week's episode will be a continue of the present, and he needs to assemble the Multiverse Avengers to save the Multiverse from its greatest threat, Ultron. Thanos was bad, sure, but he only wanted to destroy half of all life. Ultron has concluded that the only way to save worlds is to destroy all life, as life is a planet's greatest threat, and this is why his mission is to save the Multiverse from itself, as the problem of one universe is the same problem for all since they are all variants of the same thing. I'm curious to see how this ends. The solution to the current problem is to have Arman Zola upload with Ultron in the same way Jarvis did. What's the plan for Zola after he does that?! He's going to be in Ultron's body with all that power. They'll be trading one bad guy for a worse one. Zola won't have the same aims, no, but he was very much in on what Hydra was selling. I wonder if this story will be concluded here or if it'll spill into season two. This season was supposed to be 10 stories, but apparently one of the stories planned for this season was pushed to season two. Whatever the case, this conclusion is going to be wild! I cannot wait! Have you guys seen the Hyundai Marvel's What if...? car commercial? It came out when the series started, and it spoiled what's going to happen--though I think many dismissed it as simple commercial. It showed us Ultron's army of Ultron's battling Party Thor, T'Challa Star-Lord, Captain Carter, Supreme Doctor Strange and Uatu, lol. It didn't show the whole, battle, but it was certainly showing us things that were animated for the series. The mid season finally trailer also teased things to come, and it looks like Uatu will be going to previous worlds we've seen to pull surviving heroes to help save the Multiverse. I don't know if he'll be pulling everyone, but I guess at this point, you grab as many people as you need. Gamora in Thanos' Endgame armor is the only hero from the What if...? series poster who hasn't been shown yet, and surely we can assume she'll have a role to play in next week's story, and while Captain Marvel from this week's universe is gone, that isn't the case from Party Thor's universe. Can she be killed? We didn't see her die in Ultron's universe. Thanos had all of the stones and Endgame and she was going toe-to-toe with him. He got the jump on her, but he couldn't kill her. Her power is absorbing energy. I guess, she could have a limit, but her entire power setting is the ability to absorb insane amounts of power, lol. I don't think she expected Ultron to blow up the world in the same way she didn't expect Thanos to remove one of the stones and use it differently from the way he had used them. Anyway, next week is too far away =/

I don't think Vision would have been able to one-hit Thanos like Ultron did, not that he ultimately lacks the capacity, but early on Vision was focused more on the moral justifications for existential arguments as they related to his place in the world (rather than trying to speed-run his understanding of the mind stone), whereas Ultron is far more pragmatic/strategic and would have poured all of his time into understanding the mind stone and how to properly weaponize it as soon as possible. Same potential, just two different priorities that ultimately precipitate into completely different outcomes.

in infininty war though vision was injured by thanos assaisans, and Suri was severing his connections to the mind stone before thanos should up in person. so he might not have his full power access at the point with injures and not a full connection to the stone
