I have a place in my heart for the pop-up. I still have my old one, 2000 Dutchmen. I love the feeling of sleeping outdoors, but indoors and off the ground. I love that they've done the through the wall A/C, much like the mods done by people on the older units, today. It works! Love the bunk strip lights. If I could still use a pop-up for my primary camping, I would, but daughter's special needs pushed us in a 22rb Jay Feather this past year. I hope the love for pop-ups never fades. Thanks Josh.

Thanks for taking time to do a pop-up my man! Removeable cook top and bunk fans are a must though. And not sure about black canvas to attract the sun. THE Best is no $70,000 pickup truck required! Can't beat and ol' fashioned style pop up. At 2100 lbs with A/C, electric heat, hot water, and power lift? Well done! We love our popup. We paid $3500 CDN for our used 2007 Rockwood Freedom 1940 LTD in 2017 and easily tow it with our Dodge caravan. Looking for a travel trailer now. Keep up the great work Josh!

After many years of tent camping, my wife and I got a Coleman ( Fleetwood ) popup. We had that for 20 years, took the kids camping every summer, across country, and to Disney World with it. It was a great little camper and never had any maintenance issues. Once we reached our 60's, it was time to upgrade to a small travel trailer. They are a great way for a family with a small budget to travel.

It seems kinda weird they have that weird bit of table space by the door, but didn't make it big enough to hold a unit. It does seem like a popup design with a bit of space for a popup wetbathroom/closet space isn't really too crazy. It'd only take up a little more space. but definitely would be worth it for most people. Worst case, they just have a closet. I can already see rough designs in my head now.

Totally on board for the pop ups, light weight and fits the market for affordability and tow ability. A small part of the market is true, but a growing part of the market as well. A slide out model would be awesome to see again. RockWood nailed the little things and definitely is on track. I get they may not be as profitable but they are to a market that fits those who want to camp, not deal with a tent, and have a vehicle that is limited on tow capability. Another big thing I think of, being in Michigan and that is not state limited, is the camp site sizes become way more open on a smaller rig. Great review as always Josh, please keep them coming and please keep on the lookout for more pop ups, you are onto something and always keep us informed. 👍🏻👍🏻

1) Another Nice video Josh. 2) Idk, maybe it’s just me; but it seems for the price of these things, you can get yourself into a larger RV, (Go Play or what have you) for about the same money. 3) This is definitely a first camper for someone with a very small vehicle. 4) Would make for a nice emergency bug out RV if that is all you wanted it for. 5) Would also make for a good weekend fishing camper if no thrills is what you are after. 6) Definitely affordable compared to most other RV’s on the market. 7) You definitely have wilderness viewing coverage, but I’m not sure you want to be in this thing in bear country, especially if you’ve been frying fish for supper 😂 37) I guess it all comes down to this…. Do you want rustic camping or glamping, or something in between? The sky is infinite……. Your wallet isn’t. What can you afford?

I 100% genuinely feel that 26BH is one of the best first-time family campers I've seen

Now they need to get off their arese and make A-frames again.

I'm surprised at how those have almost vanished from the marketplace. I suspect the pricing on them got to the point buyers could get a more traditional hardsided rv for similar money

Never again , never again. 😅

lol you sound like you have RV PTSD over this thing

@JoshtheRVNerd One could say such a thing. I will say this for a thirty year old pop-up it went through a micro burst and somehow survived. Still have it. Lord knows we couldn't give this thing away if ya tried. We purchased a 2025 Silverlake 1800rb in late September. Absolutely love this thing so far. Not perfect, Usual fit and finish issues but minor.

It's nice but $20k for a pop-up with so many travel trailers at or near that price point that have heads?!? Sorry my cheap ass can't do it maybe for $8k

You're looking at MSRP Thankfully we don't sell for MSRP Any unit we have actively in stock would have a discounted sale price listed though we may not have loads of these on hand quite yet

Electric fridge!? What was rock wood thinking!? It’s a pop up. It belongs in boondocks situations. No pop up should ever have anything but a 3 way fridge. That is also an ugly colour pattern they chose. I’m so glad I got my 2020 1940ltd when I did if this is what they think improvements constitute

The soft side just doesn’t give me a secure feeling for my family or my stuff.

totally get it

Why screw with what they are called in the title. They are pop ups not deflate collapsible bs

It's one of those things like soda vs. pop I don't care what it's called. I just care what it is
