I dont think ace could defeat kaido alone because kaido is too strong and luffy potential cant be measure to any character he master advance conqueror and armament in very short period of time so luffy will be much stronger than ace did have a strong df like kaido and wb but luffy in gear 5 is strongest df ever and comparing ace to luffy is too much, ace most can be wb and rogers level but luffy needs to be stronger than joyboy who is stronger than any character by big margin

It’s as I said, Ace wins due to his Devil fruit cancelling out many of Kaido’s fire based attacks and he’ll bloom. Remember, Ace has fought for extensive periods of time unlike luffy who needs breaks so he’ll be able to grow fast as well

If Ace Survived Luffy would have never gotten on Big Mom's bad side, and she would not plot to kill Sanji at the wedding. Messing with Luffy means fighting the white beard pirates, not something she'd be eager to do for no reason. Recall that beef between Luffy and Big Mom starts with a dispute over the FIshman candy. Whole Cake just gets skipped altogether. Ace and crew would help luffy with Kaido in an even bigger alliance, and Big Mom would never go to Wano, so Kaido gets washed easy and Luffy never learns advanced conquerers.
