I remember playing Legacy of Goku 2 and this What if's version of the "Infinite Engine" made me remember just how much tougher the Android 19 and 20 fights felt compared to the Android 17 and 18 fights in that game because you can't use energy attacks against these enemies.

That’s no good… Also, while taking some time to think… Cell might not be here anymore, but that doesn’t mean Android 16 (and possibly 17 and 18) are NECESSARILY gone. Remember, the old man and the clown are STILL Androids NINETEEN AND TWENTY, meaning that the doctor still went through with making a 16, 17, and 18. They could still appear here, just maybe not in the same role they were in before.

I can imagine 16 being mostly intact due to how personal of a project he was to Gero, but the dividing point between this and canon may be Gero considering 17/18 as complete failures and sidelining the idea of cyborgs or biological creations as a result. 17 and 18 may at best have an alpha version of the infinite energy system (assuming they haven't been completely "disposed of") but the developed version would go to himself and 20, along with the rapid combat analysis he now had time to develop since he didn't burn time trying to control the unruly twins or get the Cell project going.

Red ribbon army in space and Gero could technically go back to his original plan with WAY better facilities thanks to the star. My Poor boy Yamcha is now traumatized be being absorbed like a juice box :( Goku always forgets to take his medicine, but now is more dangerous then ever. I do like the way they explain that 19 can adjust to Goku fighting patterns because if you have advanced tech in a android, they should be able to do things others can such as absorbing energy and analyzing your fighting style and repair itself, android 19 has become too dangerous and once again vegeta pride is his downfall

I'm not sure I like the idea Androids 17 and 18 never existing but I _do_ like the idea of Gero and 19 being far more formidable. Gero especially should be stronger than 19, 17 and 18. Rather than 17 and 18 not existing, I think the saga would have been better if _Cell_ hadn't existed.

maybe for the next chapters of this story you can have Dr. Gero and 19 travel every city doing something similar to Cell when he absorbed people but difference is 19 is sucking the humans dry, and that Gero can go to the News TV and announce his plans to revive the Red Ribbon Army, and tell the world that for too long has humans and earthlings been seen as weak, and too long has Earth been invaded by powerful aliens who want to dominate and destroy, he makes examples of Vegeta, Nappa and Frieza along with King Piccolo, and that it is time to create army of earthlings who are stronger, to creat 'perfect beings', an army of 'prefect beings' and implores people of earth who are interested to join him, join him creating a perfect army, a perfect world, perfect beings the universe has ever seen. and maybe when Gero is successful at recreating the army, he sets up a Tournament, for any fighter that challenges the new 'Perfected' Red Ribbon Army' authority. and maybe have Tao and Shen apart of the army.

With how this seemed to start as an hommage to Toriyama, I can’t help but feel it’s a bit of a waste to make it one of the what if’s that might end up not continuing. Just a thought. Don't make us choose, man, these are all too good! I'm curious as to how far you can take just the two Androids. With 16, 17, 18, it was able to be dragged out since for them it was a road trip to Goku's house. Also I'm hoping you consider keeping Gohan's power level somewhat comparable to his future counterpart. I always found a big plothole in the fact that the Gohan in this timeline (with a few extra years of training before the Androids) was able to go SSJ2, yet a Gohan in another timeline, with years and years of battles with the Androids, was not even able to become a stronger SSJ. I forgot if the idea to make it Gohan who defeats Cell Toriyama's idea, or if that was also directions from the higher ups.

Ah yes… the April Fool’s what if that should’ve just been a series made as a tribute to Toriyama instead of being one of the options for this year’s April Fools. Don’t get me wrong Masako, this is an intriguing story, but let’s be honest with ourselves here. This was going to win the poll the MOMENT you invoked Akra Toriyama. Honestly, this what if has arguably the LEAST going for it outside of its initial saga. The Tarble what if has WAY more potential for long term storytelling, ESPECIALLY if Goku is still in the picture. Think about it; The two saiyans meeting in the World Matrial Arts Tournament, becoming friendly rivals, Tarble telling Goku about them being Saiyans, the rivalry that could blossom from them being Saiyans. The reveal of Vegeta being Tarble’s brother. And that’s just up through the Saiyan Saga
