If Alice in Chains decided to go to Nashville instead in the 90s, they might have sounded a bit more like this! (No disrespect meant, I'm a huge fan!)

Just FYI: This song was written by Jerry Cantrell about his father's experiences in Vietnam. "Rooster" was his dad's nickname.

I got one of those mini twins last July. And seeing Brian use it was so satisfying. I LOVE MINE. and because of it I actually just purchased a wampler 57 TWEED PEDAL hoping that I can have those tones on my larger amp.

Alice in chains has a LOT of blues in it, and blues is the progenitor to country (along with folk influences). Jerry Cantrell, the guitarist for Alice in chains was also raised primarily on country too.

This sounds like something that would have been left out of Exile on Main Street because Keith threw up on the mixing desk while trying to detox from heroine. The vocals give me 70s Mick Jagger vibes when set in the context of a country song.

😅people don’t know that when they buy a Wampler Pedal, this is the type of music it is secretly designed for.
@wampler_pedals10 ай бұрын
Lol. Nah, they aren’t designed for any particular “type “ of music. I didn’t even use any pedals at all on this, EXCEPT for a Friedman IR-x, which is probably intended for anything except country 😂. Much of this tone comes from playing style, riffs, etc.

Where did this trend come from? There I Ruined It KZbinr does this a lot. I find it fun, but odd. Sincerely Mike B. B. From Philly, P.A. U.S.A.
@wampler_pedals10 ай бұрын
My goal isn’t to ruin anything, instead it’s show that great songs can cross into entirely different genres. Also, to show that “country” music doesn’t need to be about trucks, tractors, or bud lights on a Friday night.
