Hello Brian. Does it have trails after it's turned off? How do I get the trails to work? Mine didn't come with a manual. Also, mine is not purple. It's burgundy 😢. But it still looks and sounds great.

After just sounds so killer. I run 1 before and after but the one before is more of a boost, the one after I use to decrease volume not to bother the neighbors

Can't a Boost do the same thing, make quieter sounds louder?

They don't: Weigh as much? Seriously I've been using amp modeling for both recording and live for more than 20 years. Mixed in there I used several tube amps. The difference is in sound was a matter of opinion but the flexibility and ease of use of the modelers is not. You get a wider variety of sounds, easy access to them and repeatability. Not to mention the need to lug around a 50 to 80 pound amplifier and pedal board.

I have already purchased a Moxie. I have been using the old TS10. However, theft and poor contact were problems when using it outdoors. So I have been trying many alternative pedals (like the TS10), and finally I have found it. It produces the same sound as my TS10. It is even more orthodox and evolved. I think you are a genius. Thank you so much.

I just got this, and it’s so much fun. Right back to 1994, chunking on stoner riffs and bending nasty fills. The flexibility is a big step up from the OG Rat. Fu Manchu, Pumpkins, Soundgarden. If you want a creative kick in the pants to reactivate your doom brain, grab this one. All of the Wampler mini drives are killer, for that matter - smart options, primo builds, highly usable tones with great range within each circuit. I guess I’ve reached Wampler fanboy status, but it’s totally Brian’s fault; the guy just keeps innovating in the most musically helpful ways.

The Butler and a few of the other ones aren't really using the tube for gain instead using the tube as a sloppy diode.

The Plexi Drive Mini, Moxie, and Ratsbane all have genius voicing options that really set the bar for versatility. Brian’s approach is just next-level and a real win for users.

Great video! I still love my tube amps, but my back doesn't unfortunately, at least for gigging. When I play out I'm using a Kemper Player and I love it. It fits on my board and I still get to use all my favorite pedals with it. I still get inspired by the sounds coming out of it thankfully. I still use tube amps in my home home studio along with a Kemper non-powered rack. That way I have all the tone choices I want or need for recording. It's working well for me so far. Now...if I had a good back still or a regular roadie I'd probably still be taking at least a Fender tube amp out for shows, but I'm past those days! LOL!

It's multi faceted...if you doubt that? try getting a nylon stringed instrument to sound distorted naturally if you doubt me.

Tone from my perspective is not sole'y coming from fingers only, it's partial only from fingers, it's more like both hands AND whatever the amp is dial'ed and effects/pedals being on the chain, the ball of the strumming/picking hand and dynamics are used too! unless a player is hammering only via one hand which tends to make the amp and instrument fit into the process of any tone dial'ed in also, plectrum thickness and material used is also a part of the process too, including dynamic attack whilst playing and amp/pedal response also.

Lugging massive amounts of gear around for Suns of James we had our mantra - " I am my own roadie" . Hey, helped keep us in shape as nothing back then weighed less than 100 lbs.

Beautiful Girls & Dance the Night Away were mixed in a different studio all together which is why VH ll sounds so different to Van Halen 1.. that part of Feel Your Love is all bottom strings and You can really hear the Sound City Studio reverb chamber that Templeman over used on the whole album..Ed hated it.

Never liked the DS-1. The disto is too "hairy" and "buzzy". The tone sweep isn't helpful either. Though, Wamps alternate tone control here is an improvement!

Just got one for Christmas 2024 and it's nice, but flubby. The EQ isn't visually intuitive, but if you adjust it by ear, you can get it to sound quite clear. I feel he did a poor job at demonstrating the clarity of the pedal in this video which doesn't make sense since he designed the darn thing!
@wampler_pedals3 күн бұрын
I think it’s important to mention it’s not *supposed* to be a super clean pedal. It’s made to be thick and full.
@chrisvsmusicny6 күн бұрын
What I like to do with my Ratsbane is set it's distortion low to a nice, chewy overdrive. Then, when I want to push it into distortion, I kick on my Tumnus which is set very clean. If I could special order my own custom Wampler combo pedal, that's exactly what it would be. 🤘

The only non tube amp I have is an old tuck N roll Kustom which sounds great. Other than that my marshall JTM 45 and my plexi along with a gaggle of fender tweed and blonde and blackface amps does it for me. I don't use pedals except for a boss fender reverb pedal.

I don't collect od pedals like there's no tomorrow, have contently been rolling along with a couple Boss pedals and a Zen Drive clone for many moons, several months ago I purchased a Wampler Triumph, a good move, sold the Boss pedals, in my somewhat hopeful way of thinking this Mofetta and the Triumph would most likely be all I would need, a Euphoria would definitely put me in la la land, it's nice to travel.
