Hi. I am a beginner and mostly interested in technical experience with pedals. And today I am getting this pedal delivered. I am sort of excited what I really can do with it. My goal is to get rid of some other Pedals. The reason to buy this pedal was some review of another well known channel on YT. They were excited about it and you answered my last question technically. Thanks for that. I need to reduce the number of pedals on my board. Spending money on bull I did too often and my financial situation is not terrible but also not as good as I would wish it was. Too much bull led to it. Any more mistake I try to avoid. This time I am confident.

Cool video however that whole chugging kind of music that you were playing in the beginning to me is just very sinister negative depressing. I don’t know if you want to say evil but it’s just very a downer to me. I couldn’t listen to that stuff. It’s very like low shock music, but I enjoy your videos

Glad I got my Tube Monster when they were $70. It's a phenomenal pedal for the studio (waaaay too big for a gigging pedalboard I think). The EQ is extremely expressive and can completely change the character of your signal. BUT DAMN that Tonebone sounded amazing.

The deeper i get into the world of guitars, the more i find that the answer to most of my questions is "just use your ears". How do i get a certain tone out of my guitar/amp/pedal? Don't know, listen and play around with the knobs until it sounds the way you want it to sound on your specific rig. Can't get it to sound right no matter how much you try? Then maybe the answer is that you don't have the right equipment to get the tone you want, and maybe you should consider investing in some upgrades or new inclusions into your setup.

I have been really loving tube preamps to go with a solid state power amp, to create my own hybrids! Since trying/doing this I find pedals with tubes work nicely for this setup! 🎛️-🎛️-🎛️-🤘👽🎸------🔊

I would rather have power tubes than preamp tubes. I would love a bass amp with a solid state preamp and a tube power amp.

1-I used the original H&K TubeMan for the entire 90s and early 2000s. It earned attention after every gig. Had to buy 2 because the 1st died on me twice. The second wasn’t half of the 1st one. I don’t like their 2nd version at all. AT ALL. 2-In your side by side here, the Tone Bone killed it. The Butler Tube Driver was a close second. 3-I bought a Tumnus Deluxe as soon as you made them. Haven’t used a tube pedal since. 😳 That TD does everything. My non-tube backup before was the Nobels. I found it unusable compared to my TubeMan. Now that Tumnus Deluxe…everybody asks how I make the tones. I just tell them to ask Brian Wampler.

Love the tubes.. it also found out that it seems many are just used as glowing lights while an IC tends to do the heavy lifting That said, I love the older chandler and tube works stuff, the Mid-2000s EHX, and Mesa pedals. Keep it up Brian! Said it on FB, but still stinkin tickled to see you going strong 20+ years after those early Harmony Central EFX forum days!

Just like the amp, keeping the gain around 3 really gives you the SLO tone. I thought the SLOstortion sounded great, just not quite as tight as I had hoped. Just a bit of wooly for me. Now I know why! Brian’s videos are spectacular.

So the conclusion of this video is amp distortion is undesirable if you want delay. So why spend a bunch of extra money developing, selling, or buying an amp with distortion then? You also didn't show what happens when the same pedals are placed after the amp, or in the FX Chain. To me this is not a thorough exploration.

I think the only pedal i regret getting rid of was the Allen Amps Sole Mate. I'm sure I have the schematic laying around somewhere from when i bought the kit... but i have no clue where it is. That in front of my vibro-champ at the time was my favorite practice amp and little church amp.

Love the BK Butler. I have the rack mount but I think the pedal sounds better. I tried a Boogie V-Twin in front of a HR Deluxe years ago. Pretty cool but kind of put "scooped into scooped" tones. Had great cut though

Hi, Mr Wampler! Why did you change the interface on the newer pedals? Mine is an old sparkle blue ......... (wich is the most beautiful one.......) Probably a stupid question........ But. As I`m a nerd. Why........?

Well. Blend top left.on/off diode middle Attack top right. Lower row. Volume.Tone.Sustain. In Jack on right side/out on left. White printing. Think I got it about 2012/2015. Maybe earlier. Big components inside. Deep blue sparkle and white lettering. Got it for country pickin’ like Brent Mason and Johnny Hiland. Served me well even if I never will play in the same game as those guys………….. Says handmade in America. Very nice pedal……!

I like the open rawness of the Tube Driver here. But the solid density and midrange of the Tonebone is great, too. I´d like to have those two, but I´m already done by having an old Hughes & Kettner Tubeman, that I love. Plus, I also got a modded Tubemonster and I changed the stock tubes to the lesser gainy type "12AY7", which makes it a bit more easy for me to dial in some low gain overdrive.

AMT SS-11 is a great little tube pre in a pedal form with 2x 12ax7, also the Blackstar Dept10 pedals - all of these use tubes with high voltage internally, so they properly work like they would in an amplifier. Check those out, awesome stuff.

Am I the only one who thought the Synergy preamp was the worst of the bunch? I’m not a Mesa Boogie fan at all, but it just sounded kinda flat and flubby. The Radial was my favorite, but all the pedals sounded really good, even the Berhinger! I had a SD Twin Tube Classic and sold it....but I’d like to find another one!

I was accidentally ahead of the curve with tube-pedals as a result of finding an original Hughes-n-Kettner Tubeman in a guitar/pawn shop in about 1999. I had no idea what it was but the price was right and I couldn't believe how much it improved the sound of my rig. It quickly replaced nearly all my dirt pedals and it was very soon after that I heard about Gilmour and Eric Johnson's use of a similar pedal by some guy named Butler, and rest is history. I also remember when everyone suddenly had Tonebones and I was like, "way ahead of you". I think Klon-mania kind of killed the tube-pedal thing. I still have my Tubeman but I just don't play that loud live anymore.
