Agreed. Yoda is *FAR* too in-tune with the Force to be caught off-guard like that. And it's not as if Yoda trusted "Chancellor Palpatine" to begin with. Yoda was always weary of him, not necessarily due to suspicions he was a Sith (I'm certain that possibility didn't even cross Yoda's mind), but just because he was suspicious, plain and simple.

I think he would tho - as in revenge of the sith both were prepared to fight each other and the result was a draw (imo) so it’s reasonable to assume with palps having surprise on yoda (+ the sheer confusion of yoda in such a moment reacting from his fallen apprentice being killed to the chancellor of the republic not only freeing himself but being a sith) that yoda may fall quickly. As if palps hadn’t got the jump I agree yoda wouldn’t go down that quickly and would hold his own even if he was slightly stunned by the realisation of what lay in front of him.

Palpatine clouded the Jedi’s vision of the future, and the Jedi had become far too dependent upon the force warning them. It’s kind of like how the Navy used to have lookouts scanning for enemy aircraft but now we rely on radar. Well, the enemy comes up with a stealth plane and we get taken by surprise. The Jedi are individually far more powerful than an unprepared enemy … but a prepared enemy is far more powerful and capable of taking down a Jedi. In episode 3 Yoda went to confront Sidious in the basement of the Senate building. we get to see a cool battle between the two of them but the reality is Palpatine had no reason to give him a fair fight. A prepared enemy would have been surrounded by so many defenses that Yoda wouldn’t have stood a chance of even getting to him in the first place. Anakin and Obi-Wan were captured by Ray shields on the invisible hand …. Now imagine going after Palpatine on his own home turf…. Chances are the whole place is booby, trapped, and Yoda is going to have to fight his way through Ray shields and flamethrowers and Senate guards, legions of clone troopers only to finally get him himself into Palpatine’s office pull out his light saber…. And fall to the ground in agony as he discovers the entire floor is electrified.

excellent story. Anakin has made bad decisions but has never been evil in my opinion, he just needed more guidance to find his way, Vader was evil but driven by pain and regret. I really like the direction of Anakin stepping away from the war for a while and becoming a padawan again. What if... after Ashoka left the order Anakin took on Tallisibeth Enwandung-Esterhazy AKA Scout as his Padawan at Ashoka's request. Would he die at the hands of the curse that followed the poor girl or would he be able to survive and live up to him mantle as the chosen one.

Yeah the issue is there's almost no chance sidius beats yoda or Mace in combat, even with suprise. Yoda is such a strong duelist and force user with hundreds of years of experience... As for mace, well we saw what happened when Sid tried stepping to mace. If it wasn't for anakin he'd lost his soul that day. And yoda is a far superior duelist to mace.

That would depend on *why* Anakin didn't argue. Was he simply holding his tongue? Or did he actually back down and accept the Council's decision? If it's the latter, then I think at least some Council members would recognize this as a growth in maturity for Anakin and consider his argument. Otherwise, nothing would change.

I have always envisioned a FORCE MASTER, not actually aligned with either side, getting involved in different ways. Mostly though, in interrupting the fight that kills, Duku, and the other vision, interrupting the arresting speech before SIDIOUS, attacks the Jedi council members who confront him when confirmed he was the very Syth Lord, that they were looking for. With glorious, but brief, speech..and ignited huge BLACK LIGHTSABER, tells him he's under arrest "..under the authority of COUNCIL OF THE HIGH SHADOWS, for.?among other things, the crimes of ensighting war in a foreign relm, mass murder, the corruption of multiple governing systems; the JEDI..and GALACTIC REPUBLIC..to the top two.." Palpatine, interrupting the speech, attacks him with his own.. very red ..LIGHTSABER.. twereling through the air with a strange distorted screaming..several times seemingly getting in strikes, that only apparently irritated the dark savior of the council. Eventually, the stranger's cloak falls to the ground, revealing that he was mostly armored. Not until he seemed to disarm SIDIOUS, did it become clear.. SIDIOUS, not so disarmed, red LIGHTSABERING him in half, that from the ribs down, he was all machine..and the rest..was just better than still half human. Only his left arm hand and shoulder fully organic. Even in this condition, the disembodied hips-legs-and-feet..laying on the floor..smoking ..he floats over and now..fully disarmed SIDIOUS, leaving him falling to his knees, with his chest..just too close to his heart, squrred..with a slender short metal sword. In defeat..to be collected by the JEDI COUNCIL members, saying, "You were here to do this anyway. You might as well take him. My council didn't really want him back, but rather, simply stopped..one way or the other." Then, pulling out a pocket a COMUNICATOR says, "RX-5, come down here, and help me pull myself back together. Also, yes. You won the bet. Just don't let it go to your head ". With that the JEDI council, collected Palpatine/SIDIOUS, as a black armored very feminine 4 armed droid walked in the messed up room. If qui gon survived the duel on Naboo with maul, the council wouldn’t have let anakin into the Jedi order so I believe qui gon would’ve left the order to train anakin not as a Jedi but a force user. And eventually after bringing balance to the force he would’ve settled down with padme or gone back to her to reunite with her.

The reason Ahsoka wasn't with Anakin on Coruscant is because she was on Mandalore at this point in time. It's possible in an alternate version of events that she just stayed with Anakin instead of pursuing Maul to Mandalore.

Palpatine would focus ALL resources on him. Valkorion would likely target the not-yet-a-Jedi Luke, as Valkorion was always looking for strong vessels. Around the 14-15 mark, Ahsoka shouldn't be part of this because in the past she was accused and serving the dark side. Since you didn't bring that up, one can only assume it went the same way and Ahsoka left the Jedi order (even though with him serving under Yoda, it would have been far different). So.....none of that is explained.
