One very big flaw: since he’s no longer chancellor, his orders would be null and void to the clones as they would all be informed that he was no longer chancellor and more so, no longer a member of the galactic senate. Therefore he would have absolutely no power to wield to give an order like that as only a member of the galactic senate or the new chancellor could issue an order.

@@Avery_1441 no, it was specified that another member of the senate can enact order 65 if they feel the chancellor is abusing his power, a traitor, or unfit to hold the position. He put those orders to make it seem that it’s for the good of the republic, never thinking that he would ever find himself in a position where that order would be enacted due to the dozens of contingency plans he had in place for years.

That's not how the inhibitor chips work. The clones only execute the command if it was given by the Supreme chancellor or if the majority of the senate voted in favor to enact the order

@@madhusmithap The Kaminoins implemented the inhibitor chips and the all the special Orders, the reason the other orders aside from order 66 exist is to make it less obvious that the Army's existence is to destroy the Jedi, but the other Orders do function. Order 66 wouldn't work unless your the chancellor, such as other Orders wouldn't function unless the Senate or Jedi ordered it.

Order 66 is very specific on who can execute it: “In the event of Jedi officers acting against the interests of the Republic, and after receiving specific orders verified as coming directly from the Supreme Commander (Chancellor), GAR commanders will remove those officers by lethal force, and command of the GAR will revert to the Supreme Commander (Chancellor) until a new command structure is established.”. At the time given in the story Palpatine was not Supreme Commander so could not execute order 66. Order 66 was just one of 150 clone contingency orders, for example order 65 allowed the Supreme Commander to be removed with lethal force by decision of the security council of the senate and order 37 demanded the use of civilian hostages to force a wanted individual to surrender themselves. That it be just one of many orders would be important in case they were discovered. If there was only one, the one to kill the Jedi that would be very suspicious but having many makes it look like whoever came up with them was just covering their bases.

I know this is your version of what could have happened, but I cannot ignore a glaring flaw. In your version Palpatine fled and in the time it would take Palpatine to gather Maul, Grievous, and the clone army the Jedi would have gathered the evidence they needed to have Palpatine removed from power. With Palpatine's power as Chancellor removed I don't believe he would have been able to get the clones in place, it is not entirely clear if the clones would have obeyed order 66 once Palpatine was no longer Chancellor or not, but for the sake of argument lets say the inhibitor chips would have made them obey anyway, I don't believe Palpatine would have been able to secretly get the clones into position for the assault on the Jedi temple as happens in the story you presented and is not realistic. I did give a thumbs up for your efforts, but I cannot get past the massive flaw I have discussed.

Considering how conniving and manipulative Palpatine was, I could see the official orders, on paper, being different from actual orders the clones would follow. There are 150 contingency orders, and I can't see a situation where NONE of them cover what would happen if the Chancellor was declared unfit for office or found guilty of a crime (In fact, in Legends there is one, Order 65, which states that command of the army is to be given to an acting Chancellor and the current Supreme Chancellor is to be detained, with lethal force if neccessary). Yet I also can't imagine Palpatine actually allowing a scenario in which HIS clone army would turn on him and possibly even kill him. So it's very possible that on paper, Order 65 (or whatever order it would be in canon) and Order 66 are written down as "If the Chancellor is unfit, detain him" and "if the Jedi defect, eliminate them", but in practice, Order 65 would do nothing and Order 66 would ALWAYS work for Palpatine regardless of his current position of power. Of course, this isn't backed up or refuted by canon, but then again, we're talking about a hypothetical scenario anyway.

@@songsilove9669 You do realize there was an entire plotline about how Palpatine had inhibitor chips implanted into the clones so they would be obedient during Order 66, despite any who might otherwise go against the idea due to their trust/friendship of their respective Jedi Generals. There's no reason to believe the clones whouldn't loyally follow his orders just like how they did when he gave them as Chancellor, if he had a contingency plan in place in case he was usurped as Chancellor, and given the secrecy of the Clone Army's creation and his manipulations, there's no reason to assume there wouldn't or at least couldn't be.

The assumption that chancellor Palpatine can be the only issue such orders would be naive.

@@songsilove9669 From their very conception, the clones' creation was being manipulated by Dooku and Sidious. It's made very clear that the chips were always wrapped up in Palpatine's schemes. Their manipulation of the clone's minds even goes against their stated purpose: to prevent excessive aggression and independence in a clone trooper. Clearly they're more like a form of overt mind control, given how we've seen them work in The Clone Wars tv show. On paper, I'm sure they would be stated to encourage loyalty to the Republic, but in reality they were always a part of Palpatine's conspiracy to eliminate the Jedi.

the only issue I have with this story is the fact that order 66 could only be issued by the supreme chancellor , which in this scenario would be Bail. so unless palpatine got Bail to issue the order I doubt the clones would have followed the order. Of course this is a hypothetical situation and we don't know exactly how this would play out in actuality. other then that, great work with the theory.

this video just dont make sense because the clones only execute orders from the chancellor so it wont make much sense that the clones would still execute order 66, and the maul Palpatine alliance is just not possible, and 3 sith vs 10K jedi, possibly at least more then a few hundred in the temple, Palpatine, maul and grevious would make a lot of kills but the amount should be overwhelming

Hard to say. It's likely Palpatine planned for something like being deposed, and hid what the Orders actually were. Remember: he and his master did plan the downfall of the Jedi and Republic decades in advance.

This is very good, but although I think that wiping out the massive clone army wouldn't be possible at all. We don't know exactly how many clones are there, but there should be at least a couple of billions of clones to keep up with the size of galactic frontline. So i guess the jedi would have to go into hiding, with them eventually rebuilding order in the shadows and returning back to the people when the clones would become unable to fight because of their age.

Order 66 cannot happen due to his role and commands not being accepted, as the jedi would have already suspected more to what the chancellor could've been doing after his big loss in his former office, and mace windu wouldn't die that easily, as his form vaa-pad is used to use the opponents emotions against them, giving him an advantage, don't forget the gunships and other things outside the temple, it cant be that easy to just march to a temple like that and the planet is coruscant for crying out loud! The heart of the republic! So generally, this would not work.

I think anakin would have told the council about where grievous was during the same conversation about palpatine being a sith lord. He heard the tradegy of darth plagueis after he found out where grievous was so i think they would have went after him first then after sidious. Even with palpatine killed or arrested grievous would have still wrecked havoc on the galaxy just not as strategically as palpatine planned it. Maul also was in the middle of fighting with ashoka after the rescue of palpatine on the invisible hand. My guess is ashoka and maul would have tried to defeat palpatine themselves they werent friends but they both didnt like sidious.

Sorry but the execution of Order 66 kills this story as it can ONLY be given by the Supreme Chancellor, and not by Palpatine. As Palpatine was removed from office he wouldn't be able to use Order 66 anymore. Also do you really think the Jedi wouldn't do everything in their power to find Palpatine before he could even leave the planet. Do you think Yoda or even Mace wouldn't go to, or have someone from the council go to the Senate to call for an emergency session to have all outbound flights halted till Palpatine was found and captured or killed? And there is no way Maul would rejoin Palpatine, not after being abandoned to die alone as well as killing his brother. Maul hated Palpatine almost as much as he hated Obi-Wan. It was a great story till Palpatine got off planet without the Jedi doing anything to look for him like using all the clones on planet to look for him as it is their right and authority to do so even without the Senate's approval.

Good scenario but i can not agree with some things. Maul woul never rejoin Sidious beacuse Sidious killed his brother and Maul had a great affection for his brother.Even if he hates the Jedi Maul is a warrior with strong principees and he would never join a man who murdered his own brother. I think Sidious would never attack the Jedi Temple but he would wait lets say 20 years for things to cool down.Also he woul went hiding in a place far from the Jedi eyes;he would make another plan to infiltrate and to rule the republic,also he woul search for another aprentice. Griveous would be discovered and i think he would have the same fate as Revenge of the Sith.
