this game is a critique on the idea that the capitalist society and the government wich controls us by employing taxes and giving us a false sense of freedom is bad. And what this game is trying to sell us, is the idea of chaos in an anarcho capitalist society, in comparisson with the perfect world of animal crossing, wich has a political, hypercapitalyst system that is oversimplified to highlight the inherit "goodness" of the government and, to some extent, facism as well. -probably big joel, overanalysing more media

I feel like allowing properties to be placed so close together, while also making turrets shoot things just off the property and not just on it, is a major design flaw. Maybe having a red out line appear on properties with turrets showing their range and mandating a 3 tile gap between those ranges/property edges for different players would prevent all this spawn camping.

@@Gremlor I know that. I'm saying that leads to way too many issues due to annoying players. You've got them practically surrounding spawn with walls and turrets, so hello endless spawn camping. That's what I mean by saying multiplayer ruined a fun premise (or at least the easily exploited mechanics ruined it). It looks fun, but seeing all the spawn camping and constant setbacks makes it look _way_ too annoying to deal with.
