Bulbasaur actually never evolved because it just didn't want to. That's the same with with Squirtle yeah pokemon can evolve but I feel like they can choose if they want to or not when they get to that point of okay I can evolve and become stronger or maybe I can become stronger the way I am now.

One thing I didn't like is that you evolved Bublbasur when the fact that he didn't want to evolve is one of the reasons I like him in the canon! You took away one of the things that made him endearing! Ash's Pokémon don't have to evolve to get stronger! But very good video anyway! Keep it up! Can you do a part 3?

In my opinion though, I think Bulbasaur's reason for not wanting to evolve is because of the way Charizard had behaved after evolving and the fact that Pikachu had refused to evolve. So, I think in this alternate timeline, this is the right call.

Man Ash's complete team for this what if is really good for this region. I was surprised when Bulbasaur evolves into Ivysaur here, but I'm cool with it. I'm happy you covered the first pokemon movie since it's cannon. Finally Ash got a Rhydon in this part neat, and Primeape too and was a clutch for the team. Next up is the Orange Island. Anyways another really good part, and looking forward to the next part soon.

I liked your take on Ash waking up on time. He did better in the league and even gave Gary a hard battle despite losing in the end. And Ash’s team looks pretty good. However, I do have a few critiques: 1. I would have liked to see why Bulbasaur wanted to evolve. In canon, he refused to do so. An explanation or another scenario that made evolution more appealing would have helped. 2. Beedrill really got disregarded in the later part of the video. I would have liked to see him get a few more battles if not a few more wins. One shouldn’t underestimate Bug types. 3. Maybe you could have had a mention of AJ just to have a callback to the first video in this what if. Maybe he could be the trainer who beat Gary and won the Indigo League. Overall, I liked this video. Nice work. 👍👍

As a note top 16 was actually considered very, VERY notable, after all hundreds of trainers entered the league. (Despite what people try to say Ash in canon is actually considered a somewhat elite battler in every series, even if he has a companion that picks on him. It doesn't change the fact that he's in the top percentage.) That said I really liked how you did the league and I'm super glad that you seem to be covering canon movies. (Even if briefly, way more movies are canon than most people seem to think, like almost all of them until Unova lol.) Still, really disappointed that Bulbasaur evolved because in canon Bulbasaur didn't want to. Granted it didn't see Ash's Charizard change personality and the island of the giant Pokémon didn't happen BUT you didn't mention either of these things as possible reasons why you believe Bulbasaur might have been willing to evolve in this timeline. (Even then I'd prefer it'd remain as a Bulbasaur because adds character and I really respect how Ash wants to maximize the potential of his pokemon in the form of their choosing basically. Plus Bulbasaur is soooo cute.) Overall really good and I'm excited for the Orange Islands and possible Johto League.
