aww poor kabuto, he put in so much work this arc, I'll look forward to his return though. Scyther needs an attitude adjustment hoping he'll become more behaved if he becomes a scizor. Thanks to journey's they show there's a machine that'd allow trade pokemon to evolve without trading away. Though if Ash trades him away for Wobbuffet I think that'd be interesting to.

Kabuto was pretty cool. I wouldn’t be surprised if he evolved in Johto whether for a tough Gym Battle or during the League. And Ash getting Wobbuffet? It would seem like the equivalent of Misty’s/Brock’s Psyduck; an exercise in patience.

Ash could even bump into duplica and she can give ash the info on wobbuffet's counter mirror coat destiny bond and other moves he can learn and be useful for

I love how since Jessie and James aren't prominent characters in this series, we needed a stand-in for James and Victreebel, and Ash was the only viable candidate alongside Kabuto.

Nice Ash caught more Pokémon in the Orange Island here, and Kabuto was very useful during the Orange Island. Sweet you brought in the 2nd pokemon movie. Plus Ash did better against Drake here then in cannon. Finally good idea of Ash bringing Ivysaur alongside besides his Charizard as foreshadowing when Charizard joining Charicific Valley for a time. Anyways another really good part, and looking forward to the next part soon. What if suggestion: What if Ash and Red were Brothers?

I loved this video! You clearly put in work on this what if scenario. Unlike EnterTheUnown, you chose to have Ash challenge the Orange League and I love how it turned out. Having Team Rocket stalk Ash for revenge was a good twist on their obsession. I also liked how Ash finally got a win over Gary. Nice to see him break his losing streak. Though Gary’s ego still vexes me since he thinks so little of Ash despite being pushed to his limits in the Indigo League. I’m hoping to see Scyther get humbled in the future and come to see Ash as a worthwhile trainer and friend. No doubt when that happens, I could see him evolve into Scizor. Plus, I’d love to see Ash start to get really creative with moves in Johto (Bugsy’s use of Swords Dance comes to mind). Thanks again for your amazing work!

Too bad Ash doesn't have Scyther in the actual anime, I'm sure it would've been a great Pokémon on his team. (Who knows? Maybe he will catch one in the series. Only time will tell.)

I think it would've been hilarious if Gary sent out the Eevee and Ash's Charizard just roasted it lol. I really enjoyed this one as well as the brief mention of the movie. That was really nice actually. I'm not sure bringing Ivysaur was the choice to be honest, but I suppose if this time it doesn't mind evolving for whatever reason it'll probably become a Venusaur in Johto.

Anime be like... Drake: Go Electabuzz Ash: I need a pokemon that can defeat an electric type Go Lapras. Bruh. Lapras is a water ice type which really is a dumb move or if that makes no sense he sends is Pidgeot to defeat an electric type. LOL. If he kept Kabuto, Kabuto and Togepi would have been a great duo. Kabuto isn't really wise to take with you from region to region plus it would have been painful for Kabuto to say goodbye to Togepi.

@@New3DSLuigi364 not just that, people have long complained that the anime isn't like the games, except it wasn't, yes they pulled elements from the video games, but if you go back and rewatch season 1 the thing they pulled the most from was the trading card game, posters for the league tournament was a tcg poster/design, pokemon having special moves or special attacks, in the video games that means something different but in the card games its true, the reason why type match ups don't match the video games but do work if you go by card game rules. Geodude entering a fighting pokemon tournament is true to the card game because he is a "fighting type" in the cards. While censored in the dub there were even pokemon cards in the anime. But elements from the anime were pulled to make games later, Pokemon yellow is a prime example of that. Then there's the size varients from the krabby episode that got introduced later in the video games, in krabby's episode its mentioned the Pokedex allows you to bring pokemon to you at any time with a push of a button something we wouldn't see until sword and shield. the vulpix episode showed pokemon massage which we would see in the pokemon amie elements in later games. In the Pokemopolis episode ash tried to catch giant pokemon with strange moves never seen before, an idea that could be connected to gigantimax/dynamaxing. there's some of the anime plot armor that was used to make pokemon abilities. Orange islands had, ride pokemon, trials instead of normal gym badges, double battles, regional variants, shiny pokemon like the crystal onix, there's even been videos of later gens about cut content that didn't make it into the games but was given to the anime.

On one hand, the lack of obedience issues meant Charizard did more battling and is likely much stronger. Plus, he’s Ash’s Starter; there’s a much stronger emotional connection between them. But the chance to grow stronger would be tempting...

Pinkan Island always confused me on why he had to be kept secret. Like the pokemon are pink because they always have access to those pink berries, which are only on that island. If you ask me it's just plain dumb. So what if people want to catch these pink pokemon? They're literally only pink because of the berries, so if anything people should want the BERRIES and not the pokemon on the island. The pokemon on there can be found elsewhere, but those berrie are only on that one island. Yeah I know it's because of poachers but those guys go after normal pokemon with as much fervor and disregard for well-being anyways, so nothing new there.
